I loved the food here (had steak tartare, steak entrecôte, and salad), and the atmosphere is bubbly. However, I was disappointed with the desserts. The meringue tasted very eggy.

We went for lunch yesterday. Great atmosphere, service fine, wines great, food good . Entrecôte at 32 euro is overpriced and not perfect enough. Enjoy the clientele and the famous !

This is a charming brasserie with excellent service and delicious food. The duck confit is not to be missed, and most of the dishes sampled by our party got raves. There is a great local vibe to the place with a lively buzz, especially around 9 pm.

Great food, great wine,a must go place at the moment! The veal filet is amazing and the lemon pie even better! The wine by the glass menu is diverse and not too expensive. Perfect for a romantic dinner.

This restaurant has become very popular amongst the Parisian In-crowd,because of the charisma of the owner, good food and networking. However if you are a visitor to Paris it is impossible to get a last minute reservation after 20.30,but if you get there early there will be no problem getting a table as the restaurant will be virtually empty for 1-2... I had the pleasure to lunch at Le Petit Lutetia with a client who had already tried it. The restaurant design is warm and charming, old Paris. In fact the restaurant was 'attached' to the famous hotel and used to be the place where the less fortunate could dine. It seems that many of the design and architectural features have... More

This was a recommendation from our rental host in Paris. The food was very nicely done and the portions were very large. I order the foie gras appetizer and I received a full cooking dish with a knife so I could serve myself as much as I wanted, never seen that before and never really said "that is enough foie... The warmth and intimacy of place and staff is only scarcely out done by the insane food! Foie gras is better than home! The potato purée. Hash. Tartare. And then boom...chocolate mousse! Will I have the most insanely wonderful dreams this eve. Of course. If you can get in, enjoy! This is a new fav!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
