I started with the Fois Gras which was quite good, it was terrine style. It was listed on the prix fixe menu but not ala carte, but the waiter said that I could order anything from the prix fixe and pay ala carte. I had the Ris de Veau (veal sweetbreads) that can be hit or miss. It came with... More

I was in the area and went to Le Petit Margery to lunch without any reservation and without having used 'La Fourchette', which would have granted me a much cheaper price. I decided foolishly to avoid the lunch menu and ate à la carte the scallops. For 29 euros I got 6 very small scallops and a lot of mashed... More

Went looking for a restaurant and found this within many. Had a very good salad with a toast with blue cheese, a nice fish (french so not so much spice), and nice glass of wine. Was about 48 euros, so not so bad, but not inexpensive.

Sweetbread was not well cooked, but excellent scallops and boar terrine. Fish was so-so (as usual in brasseries) and the egg brouillade with truffles a bit too heavy. Waiter needs anti-perspiring (sorry). Not very inventive cuisine but so many souvenirs.

I don't think they even like tourists very much, and I don't blame them after reading what some people write on here! The fact is, this is French "cuisine bourgeoise", which is not meant to be very creative or exciting! It's supposed to be reliable, which is what it is, and decent, which it is in abundance! Got this place on... More

We had a very unpleasant Christmas lunch at this establishment. Boiled, tasteless, sloppy vegetables without sauce was their 'vegetarian option' - despite reserving in advance, they "did not have ingredients" for more varied vegetarian dishes. Luke-warm turkey/chicken(?) with minced gelatinous mushrooms and stringy cold fois-gras formed part of their standard Christmas menu. 55 Euros per person for this 'magnificent' fare!... More

Excellent diner in a cosy atmosphere, with a friendly italian mad. One of the host of our table was vegeterian and the chef very helpful to fin a solution. But most important is the value for price, all included menu starter-main and dessert, coffee and wine for less than 45€ pp. Very good deal !

Please note that I've been here for an organized dinner during a convention, so I wasn't able to choose freely dishes. As a starter we had a terrine, as main dish boiled meat with a drop of topinambour sauce: boring. Good dessert (crumble with peach sorbet). Low rating tough: small jars supposed to contain butter were empty, I had to... More

A welcoming restaurant, with friendly a polite service. I chose an os a moelle (marrowbone), perhaps a dull dish, but very well done, and a boiled veal dish, again well executed but perhaps not the best choice. I think the cooking is good, especially if one chooses more wisely than I did. It compares well in quality and price with... More

Was here for dinner with a friend and my 4 year old son... First, the dining experience was great! Nice ambiance... The bread and butter was good :) My friend and I had the menu for dinner. We both had the foie gras (a bit salty, but ok). Then for main course, i had the cannette, and she had the... More

Description
Le Petit Marguery restaurant in Paris' Port-Royal quarter has the soul of a traditional French neighbourhood restaurant of a century ago. The mirrors and columns, fresh flowers, the layers of white table linen, the long-aproned waiters in their waistcoats and bow ties, the dark rose colour scheme create a cosy, comfortable and quite smart milieu.
