The atmosphere is traditional Parisian The service is relative fast and helpful The dishes are very nice, The reason I have selected 3 and not 4 stars is very thin and it is the combination of parameters, e.g. the location, with the atmosphere and the prices, I would expect a bit even better food. Other than that is a nice... More

We made a mistake and missed breakfast so by lunchtime we wanted to find somewhere for a "proper" lunch. We chose the PVH from the external look and a brief review of the menu. Inside it is smart and the mix of people and the decor suggested a traditional restaurant. Ou French and the lady Maitre D's English were sufficient... More

Petit Victor Hugo, or "PVH" for those in the know, is a neighborhood institution in Paris' 16th arrondissement. Clients are usually retired, in their 60s or 70s, and visibly have been coming here for decades, which says something about the quality. PVH serves traditional French dishes - Confit de canard, Sole meuniere, Entrecote, etc. - at reasonable prices with white... More

The food was very very good and the place is really nice and comfortable. The service was excellent, and they made sure we felt comfortable even though we didn't speak French because they offered a menu in Spanish. It is definitely an expensive restaurant, the check was around 250 euros for 4 people (we had two bottles of wine), but... More

We dined here with a group last Saturday, Oct 3. As a result my husband is now reduced to hobbling along painfully with the help of a crutch; we spent much of yesterday seeing a local doctor and getting x-rays of his leg and knee. At Au Petit Victor Hugo there are no contrasting strips (might I recommend Safety Tread... More

I have been going to Le Petit Victor Hugo for more than 25 years. It was my "neighborhood place" when I lived in Paris. It is pretty on the eye and the food is great. For the most part it is a typical French restaurant, and while you might get more "interesting" food in other places, I have always found... More

By coincidence, we ended up in this restaurant and it appeared a great choice. Sufficient space when seated, excellent starters, very good filet of beef and duck and excellent desserts. Also the recommended red Bordeaux wine was a great pick, especially considering the reasonable price. Although there are better restaurants, this place is absolutely recommended in the mid-price range. Good... More
