This was a second visit. I took my elderly parents here. I should have booked a table upstairs as the cellar is a) very cramped when full b) reached via a narrow staircase. we did make it however. The food is good here, traditional French but with a twist and usually involving some touch of exotic flavour that marries well... More

This has been my favorite restaurant for a decade. It can get pricy at night but the 3 course lunch special (only in French on the blackboard but they will explain it in English) is an incredible bargain and usually very good.

We came in November and had a really good experience. We took the 60Euro Tasting Menu which came with two starters, two main courses, cheese course and dessert course. You have various options to choose from. We liked everything we had from the handmade Raviolo in beef broth, to Coquilles St. Jaques perfectly cooked on a white Risotto with hazelnuts,... More

Small, rive gauche restaurant in a quaint location just across the Seine from Notre Dame. Kudos to Le Reminet for full providing full dinner service on Christmas. We had the pleasure of encountering an affable and accommodating staff who were very willing and able to assist us in English. Norbert was professional as well as amiable and granted all our... This restaurant was recommended to me on a recent trip to Paris, since I am gluten free. We were placed in the basement area, which was fine, but it appeared that was the place where the USA citizens were seated. The meal was fine, but the waitress was not very helpful or friendly. I will not return to this restaurant;... More

I had one of my best meals at Le Reminet in 2011, so I was excited to go back there during our recent trip to Paris. This time the menu was lacking, the service a bit disorganized, and the food was, to put it mildly, awful. We both ordered the duck breast, and it came to the table practically quacking.... More

My bf picked this place and it was a GREAT choice. We didn't have a reservation, but were assured that it was not a problem. We were seated promptly and ordered the Entrée +plat + dessert. I had the pate terrine then the pork which was very good. I'm not a pate person, but the added fruit puree made it... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
