All reviews steak and fries entrecote salad profiteroles bread green sauce secret sauce special sauce great steak amazing sauce dessert menu well worth the wait house wine medium waitress walnuts servings
Went here and had a banging steak. My 2 week trip to Paris was coming to a end. And this was definitely the nicest steak I had in France. I wanted it medium rare but the lady said to pick either rare or medium. I...picked medium it was delicious. But next time I go I will go for the rare... sauce was amazing as well. I wasn’t to keen on the salad but it’s healthy. I will definitely go again.More
We were walking around Paris looking for somewhere to eat and saw the queue outside here so thought it must be good. Queued for around 20 mins and by this time the queue behind us was down the street.
Sat at a small table, waitress...came and asked us how we wanted our meat cooked, we explained we hadn’t ordered anything and she explained it was steak and chips only. No problem for us so went with it.
The waitress then came and silently out down two bowls of salad and left. We went sure if this was a starter or a side so again we just went with it. The steak and chips eventually came and it was delicious. The waitresses warmed up a little by the end and it gave us an entertaining evening so all in all was a success for us but I do think it was pricey for what it was.More
After reading Tripadvisor reviews I had only moderate expectations, and even then, I was still slightly disappointed. I was glad we went early and got seated right away. I would have been more disappointed if I waited a long time for this meal. The staff...was friendly enough. We knew the drill, three questions 1) what do you want to drink 2) how would you like your steak and 3) would you like dessert? We didn’t appreciate that the waitress brought bottled Evian (for a charge) when as asked for table water. We sent it back and asked for table water, which she brought quickly. The salad was just lettuce with some walnuts sprinkled on it. The dressing I enjoyed, but it was pungent, my husband thought it was horseradish. The frites were fine, I’ve had much better fries elsewhere. While I like sauce on my steak, I did not enjoy this sauce. My teenage son hated it, but my husband enjoyed it. The steak itself was not overly tender or flavourful. It seemed like a cheap cut masked by the sauce. There was enough to eat, I was full and did not order a dessert. The desserts looked nice on presentation, but I suspect that was likely all. I would definitely not go again: we could walk there from where we were staying, I am glad we did not go out of our way to come here. I imagine you could find much better steak and frites elsewhere in Paris!More
We were told that only steak, fries, and salad was served here, and that it was the best. We arrived half and hour prior to opening, and there were already 15 people in front of us. By opening at 7:00 I could not see the...end of the line. During our half our dining time, there was always a line on the sidewalk. The waitresses were very nice. They speak French and English and ask your preference. Patrons are packed in, and you may find yourself eating next to someone you don't know. Because there is just salad, steak, and fries, there's little wait time. The salad was comprised mainly of light greens and radish slices topped with a dressing that will clear your sinuses. We thought the main ingredient was horseradish. The steak and fries arrived soon, and bread and butter was included. Water came in a bottle, and with a charge. The steak was delightfully tender, and had a sauce that was... good, but we hadn't expected it. The fries were average. Thin, crispy, and they didn't taste salted, so we put them in the left over steak sauce. Seconds were provided, and then it was over. Loud crowd. People having a good time. The bill for three without drinks or dessert was 83 Euros, 4 Euros less than Hard Rock Cafe. While there were no complaints, we didn't really understand what the big attraction was. I don't need to return. We immediately called for an Uber to take us to the nearest Five Guys.More
The food was absolutely spectacular! The fries were always hot and crispy. The steak and peppercorn sauce was absolutely superb. This restaurant is a must for anyone in Paris
P.s. we crushed a bottle of red that was incredible. Paired very well with the meat.
The restaurant opens at 11:30, and at 11:20am, there were around 20 people in line already, which is rare in Paris, since there are so many restaurants, and the French don't like to wait in lines, so I heard. There is only ONE dish in...this restaurant for main dish, and 20+ for desserts :-). The salad was good. The steaks and french fries were served twice: you get the first half first, and they kept the second half warm while you finish the first part, and served them thereafter. Don't panic if you see the portion is small on first serving. The steaks are good, but the big difference is the green sauce, which is excellent! The restaurant is opened until 2:30pm for lunch, and at 2:15pm, there were still people lining up outside. Highly recommended!More
Ok, I have to admit my husband and I went twice, once for lunch and then for dinner. We walked up about 15 minutes to 7 pm when they open and we’re shocked at the line that had formed already. We had a great last...night in Paris dinner that was tasting and reliable. The food was great and the desserts were too. I would highly recommend a trip here to any visitor or Parisian.More
Wanted a traditional French ‘steak frites’ experience. The restaurant was full of local Parisians, so we felt we had chosen well. It was well worth the wait queuing to get a table. The staff were busy but so friendly and helpful, and the food excellent....Thank you for the reviews Trip Advisor!More

It’s not at all an all you can eat buffet. They are open for lunch and dinner. They only have one set menu. When the waitress takes your order, she only asks how do you like the cooking of your meat. You are then served a lettuce salad as a starter. Then comes a portion of sliced entrecôte with French fries and sauce for each person, followed -when you finish your first portion- by again another portion of sliced entrecôte and French fries. So the salad and the 2 portions are their fixed menu. You can add to this, wine, dessert, coffee, water....
