My mother always told me to judge a plave by their toilets. Oh dear god they were horrendous. I was gobsmacked and gobsmacked again when we got our bill. Stay clear!

We had a drink in this bar two years ago and had a fantastic experience but this time it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The gin and tonic was drowned by the tonic being added in a large glass and a lack of ice did not help my irritation. My husband had a beer and you can't really... More

Was here and will never go here again. The guy that served us was apparently the owner. He bossed everyone around. Found waste on a spare table and dumped it on a taken table assuming the waste was theirs... it was not... The guy also looked like one of the burglars from the movie 'Home Alone'. Very unfriendly either. After... More

Full of people for some reason. No prices mentioned or written for the drinks and when the check arrive, they give them turned upside-down as to not show the money they just ripped you off of.

My husband, 2 daughters and I stopped here while walking around St Germain. The waitresses were helpful enough. We were told it was "mojito day". My husband loves mojitos and ordered one. After one (nonalcoholic) drink, our teenagers decided to shop around while we sat and enjoyed another beverage or 2. When the second mojito was brought, I realized that... More

I am not sure what all the negativity is in some of the other reviewers comments.. Maybe this place is more fun when you're with Parisiens.. On a cold Paris Saturday afternoon, we stopped of here in St Germain rather that heading to st Michel... The building shouldnt put you off.. It has a nice terrasse some limited comfy seats..... I just wanted to sit on very minimal table & have a beer "Leffe" as I did 12 years ago with wife. This time we were 3, my son accompanied us. Leffe is the same but the satisfaction was lesser, may because of the years havig passed or simply the place has lost its charm

Overpriced and run by a balding chap with a Napoleon complex, berating his mainly Tamil staff who for all their incompetence you end up just feeling sorry for. You enter and are dictated as to where to sit in a ridiculously cramped upstairs that I guess is branded "intimate". Even the free nuts are not worth the price having the... More

All comments confirmed especially the happy hour thing! We had to pay 11euros instead of 6euros! Do not go! Do not go! Do not go!

Simply stay away from this place. Cocktails are poor and very expensive, they have nothing typical. There are such a lot of places better and better nearby.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
