I had dinner here with five others in late February. The six of us had the truffle tasting menu and I can’t say anything better than that it was the best meal and best service and dinning experience that I have ever had. It was...perfect from start to finish. Each dish was better than the one before and the service throughout was sublime. The wait staff answered any and every question we had and were most helpful in the wine selection as well. The staff and kitchen were able to adjust course and dishes upon finding out some of our party couldn’t eat some items throughout the meal. Total seamless is the way I would describe their ability to carry out last minute menu replacements. The restaurant is well deserving of three Michelin stars and I only hope to return and dine here again when all of this health crisis disappears.More

This restaurant is at the peak of dining experiences. The service, ambience and above all the food is excellent. If only once in your life, let go the purse strings and surrender to an amazing pleasure. Choose or be advised of good wines. Maybe don't...read the bill, and float away knowing that there is not much higher you can go.More

Outstanding service and food. Well worthy of the Michelin stars. Dining atmosphere is very busy, with very few tables located away from the kitchen, entrance or bussing stations, but no matter... you won't notice. Servers (mostly female, which we loved) was VERY knowledgable, courteous, and...eager to please. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because the junior sommelier did not fully explain the pricing of a certain wine we had, and loved. No regrets; only that he was less than forthcoming about the price, and should have been more transparent. Regardless.... we love this place and wil return. P.S. Ask for a tour of the hotel, which is AWESOME (not many rooms, but lots of "room" in the rooms they have; and, the bar is rockin' old world style.... TRÈS chic).More

Every single dish was overpoweringly sweet, acidic or sour. Why was there papaya in my lobster? Was there a need to put a sickeningly sweet sauce and then sweet potato on my salmon? And then horrifically sweet sides with my lamb? Surprisingly, the dessert wasn't...sweet -- only overwhelmingly sour. The service was a joke. They were not even trying to hide the fact that they could not care less. They were dismissive, barely held eye contact and failed to explain most dishes. When asked for clarification, they were unable to do anything but repeat what they said, which is only condescending, not useful. The service only became more of a joke when I had to communicate with them. Not only were they unable to communicate any information of value to me (I only speak English but my companion spoke French and English so when they asked for our language preference, we said English, but with their dismal efforts and lack of interest, I would have rather they given us no choice and just spoken French), but when I had to speak to them, they literally could not understand what I was saying. I altered what I was saying by taking away colloquialisms and speaking as directly as possible, but they seemed to struggle to find a semblance of politeness when they labored to reply and understand simple phrases. I do not know why you would pretend to speak English if you do not want to! They did not even try to hide their attitudes, completely brushing me off when it suited them. If I thought the food was hard to stomach, the service was ten times worse. The questionable choice of ingredients was not the only fault, there are innumerable details that I could point out that contributed to this unpleasant experience. For example, they gave us madeleines at the end of our meal in a "to go" bag that were half stale and pretty inedible. They also tried to seat us at the worst table in the room when several were empty. Best part was, when I tried to voice my dissatisfaction at the meal, telling a server that everything was extremely sweet, she laughed. I suppose either she probably could not understand me, thought it was positive or most likely, did not care. I suspect that any more strongly worded complaints - this was already said in a not-yet-rude tone of voice - would have been glossed over. Definitely not a two-star experience (we have been to Taillevent and Ducasse this week which are truly grades above this room-with-servers-and-food that they call a restaurant), and one that was most definitely painful to have to fork over a single cent for.More

I had the great pleasure to finally dine at Le Gabriel. Chef Jérome Banctel and his talented staff gave us an experience in dining that has us already planning our next visit. The room is splendid, spacious, and the table very comfortable. We chose the...menu dégustation which started with the famous Mushroom Burger. Each plate was a unique experience in haute gastronomie, and beautifully served and presented by the wait staff. Le Gabriel is a must if you appreciate French cuisine at it’s highest.More

As of 2019 my husband and i have visited all of the three Michelin star restaurants in Paris (sans Le Pré Catelan) and feel Le Gabriel is right there with the best of the threes. The staff was welcoming, prompt and curtious; the ambiance: romantic....Most importantly the meal was simply exquisite and left your pallets in absolute awe. They are quite deserving of a third star and i am hopeful they will get it.More

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had; the food was excellent, where every dish was prepared to absolute perfection. The artichoke heart dish, the salmon starter....what an experience of taste, flavours, fantastic ingredients. Perfection. The main dishes - lamb for me-...was a a magic experience of meat cooked in a fantastic sauce, with a variety of potatoes cooked with the most amazing sauces. The sea bas with the truffle and root vegetables was simply amazing.... The cheeses, the wine selection (the loser with cheese is a must), along with some fantastic desserts and sweets just crowned an incredible session of amazing flavours. Note a side, service is probably the best I have experienced. Knowledgeable and professional staff - no exceptions, they were all good- with a down to earth and simple approach to service (when you are that good, you have nothing to prove and you can be chill and casual whilst being professional). To offer to prepare a steak and special meal for my Son, because they can (I did not ask, it was offered) it is simply a reflection that a two Michelin star can be friendly, open and provide a full experience (admittedly my Son was the only child there -being incredibly well behaved and polite permits- , yet it shows others that it is possible to serve a family at a high end restaurant) I will have to come back for the tasting menu and the truffle menu. I am already excited about coming back. Thanks for a beautiful evening.More
