L’Alchimiste is located rue de Charenton in Montgallet area. It’s a safe bet for foodies and wine lovers. Servers are friendly and effiicient, the boss is enthusiastic. There’s a bistro atmosphere in the small cozy room. You can see the menu written in chalk in...More

It's a small place with 10 tables and quite hidden but nice staff(or maybe owner) and helped us wth understanding the menu as we don't speak French. Food was tasty and really well flavoured - big portions so a 2 course meal is more than...More

We loved this little restaurant with very few seats in it and great staff. The dishes we had were delicious and the portions were pretty big. We had a great dinner overall, reservation are recommended, the place was packed and there are not many tables.

A group of us went there and it was delightful evening, the menu choice is broad with a selection of traditional style dishes, simply presented but copious. As far from nouvelle cuisine as you can imagine, but enjoyable. Service was friendly and efficient.

Went there with a friend. There is an overuse of pesto which usually indicates a rather poor talent. It was the case . eat there with no expectations of a fooding experience. Wines are average. Friendly people tough . But I won't return nor recommend...More

We were staying at a hotel nearby and were meeting up with some family. My cousin saw the comments and thought, let's give it a try. Definitely not disappointed, even worth a detour. Very tasty, real homemade French cooking.

This small and very interesting little bistrot is the perfect place for a quite dinner. The food is impeccable, the service excellent, and the decor casual and welcoming. I observed guests who had limited French, but the waiting staff were happy to help. They offer...More
