A Very quaint exterior, and pleasant inside, but very cramped. You are very close to rubbing shoulders with the person next to you, not that great when out on a romantic evening. The food is ok, The duck was overcooked, and the snails were mixed with some fish was bland and tasteless. If you are looking for traditional french cuisine... More

I got to this restaurant at 4PM which is kinda late for lunch but kitchen was still open, staff are very kind and they speak English (something hard to find in Paris unfortunately). Nice rustic place, cheap menues with typical French gastronomy and fast Wi-Fi. 5 stars, congrats!

I went out with my boyfriend for a delicious dinner at our last evening in Paris - an it was perfect! We've tried snails, because they are typical for France, and they were delicious. The rest of our menu was also very good (fish, noodles, dessert, ...). They really know how to cook a tasty dinner! The service was friendly... More

Not only does this restaurant have character, but the food is fantastic. I tasted the lamb curry and also the spaghetti - both were great.

Very tasty, prix fixe is a bargain. Portions, unlike most in France, are Texas size! Comes with aperitif, espresso, dessert! Amazing value!

We really enjoy dining at Le Basilic when we are in Montmartre. It's such a cozy little place with just good, basic food and very kind staff. It's a classic neighborhood resto that knows how to cater to tourists and makes you feel like you've stepped back in time a bit because of it's ancient building and old-style decor. We'll... More

Our family group of 7 came here after two of our party recommended it having eaten here the previous year. The food was good but the atmosphere soured by the head waiter/manager who gave the impression that he was doing us a favour allowing us to eat in his (not very busy) restaurant. Perhaps he had had a bad day;... More

Walked down the hill after a late evening visit to Sacre Coeur. Actually another restaurant worker advised this place since they were closed for the night. He suggested this place if we did not want to eat "the tourist food". Did not disappoint!! Great atmosphere, nice set up and friendly staff. We were nine people with three kids. Some ate... More

Had a beautiful dinner here last night prior to a show at the moulin rouge, as it's so close by. I am gluten intolerant and the waiter was very knowledgeable about which dishes contained gluten, and helped me with menu choices. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Everything was perfect. Definitely worth a visit.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
