Open on Monday!!! Service was great, even by American standards. Several of the staff spoke some English which was nice. Food was good. Nothing exceptional or creative but fresh. Rice was a good texture and there was a good fish to rice ratio in the rolls. I hate a ton of rice on my sushi. Ordering was straight forward and... More

What you would expect from a basic Japanese restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. The focus is on standard, popular dishes. The menu would benefit from having a few less obvious choices.

Stopped in for a late lunch, as it was near my hotel in the area. I ran the Paris Marathon that morning, hence I worked up a super giant appetite. First of all, I was thankful that it had late lunch hour, as most other restaurants in the area were closed. The combination place was delicious. I understand the servers... More

This is a nice restaurant with a well devised menu that offers the chance to mix and match sushi, sashimi and yakitori dishes or you can choose bento boxes made up of 3-5 selections so you can choose whatever you like to suit your taste and the size of your appetite. It’s located very close to the Hotel du Ville... More

We thought to give this a try as there always seemed to be a line outside. The service was quick and the food delicious - I especially liked the free starter salad and Miso soup. We left extremely stuffed after a sashimi plate and yakitori skewers. Would definitely recommend it if you need a break from French cuisine during your... More

Efficient and not particularly polite staff, fresh products for this typical Chinese operated Japanese restaurant. Average prices for a classical selection of dishes offered in almost every of this sushi restaurants operated by Chinese.

A no brainer, good value for money Chinese operated Japanese restaurant. Far from the authentic Japanese cuisine but a good option for a quick sushi/sashime menu with an efficient service and good value. Menus in the 13-15 Euros range. Customers are a mix of regulars living in the vicinity and tourists. If you reserve by La Fourchette, you'll get 30... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
