This tucked away restaurant is one you won't stumble on by accident. You will have to seek it out - and it will be worth it. Very unassuming mother/daughter operation. The food isn't ultra-fancy - but it is ultra-good.

This is a very unique and one-of-a-kind restaurant located just off Rue St Honore, run by a mother daughter team. Most of the menu items involve duck. Prices are average for the area, but the food is not astounding. It is not bad by any means and the service is adequate.

This is a mom and daughter affair. Half the fun is the banter with the mom, who is dealing with clients, while the daughter mans the kitchen. The location is great and even better if you get to dine on one of the two or three tables on the sidewalk. As for the food... You don't go there for the... More

My husband and I love this restaurant. The food is good, the decor eccentric and the service friendly. It is wonderful to be able to go back time and time again and nothing has changed (apart from the specials) - love it!

Just by accident - walking back towards our hotel - we stumbled onto this quaint, retro-looking brasserie. We didn't expect much, but were nicley surprised by the friendly attitude of the owner and the food prepared by her daughter. Basic, but good, local cuisine served with a smile ! The place is small and you are surrounded by all things... More

Simple, authentic, traditional, quality French food in a unique old bistro atmosphere. Only a few tiny tables, the mom, the daughter, and the puppy. Highly recommended.

The place is full of things, especially cat figures and pictures which could be fun... But the place and food become more strange than authentic. The duck was good, the beef not so good... The potatoes were terrible: frozen and then heated in the microwave. A shame!

Hélène and her daughter welcome you like at home. They prepare home made delicious cooking with a family ambiance. A tiny restaurant but cosy. Not suitable if you are in a rush as everything is freshly made.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
