What an excellent meal. We took advice from the Frenchman who hosted us for three nights. He recommended Le Plomb du Cantal and we were so happy we dined here! We sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere. The steak was incredible and we were...More

I had such a wonderful time here and the food was amazing. I went for the sole purpose of trying their aligot, and it did not disappoint. The portion of the food is humongous and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend giving this...More

I visited Le Plomb du Cantal while traveling through Paris on business. I arrived in Montparnasse late after a long drive from Germany, and wanted a quick bite. Le Plomb du Cantal obliged at 2330 in the evening. I had a cheese plate with some...More

OMG! Dirty French pub (brasserie) food at it's best! My husband and I wanted a cheat meal and this place was literally 50ft from our rental. It's a local favorite & we can see why. We shared the goat cheese salad with cured ham, duck...More

First time ordered main dishes, all good; must try Aligot (cheesy mash potato). Second visit, onion soup, cheese plate, sausage plate and plenty of Bordeaux; a lighter side, but still good amount of food. The onion soup was delectable; must try.

Amazing meal, thoroughly enjoy it. Pick a meat (I had duck confit), and then choose to have either Aligot or Truffade with it. Aligot is like mashed potato mixed with cheese, whereas Truffade is more like sliced potato mixed with cheese. The tastiest potato i've...More
