I have been ordering "steak frites" in Paris for four decades. We trekked 20 minutes to this place on a Rick Steves' recommendation... I ordered "steak frites" and got a hamburger patty. The frites only appeared after another request. And the waitress, who spoke a language not known to modern civilization, sent various hierarchy from the kitchen to resolve the... More

We hadn't been to Paris for a while and we'd missed this place. It has a typical French feel to it which you don't get anywhere else. Close together tables, excellent food and service and a no rush atmosphere. Just relax, enjoy the food and ambiance and just chill the night away. Already missing it.

Good food, drinks & people watching after a long day of sightseeing. Around the corner from our hotel & a five minute walk to metro & Eiffel Tower.

It appears to be a typical french cafe with decent food and wine and adequate service. The prices were very reasonable (much better than the cafe across the street!) There were many very good dishes for vegetarians, which was helpful.

My daughter and I had a lovely dinner here. The waiters/waitresses were lovely and understanding of our limited (or nil) French speaking ability. They were welcoming and helpful and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had a meal each, and a glass of wine and it only cost approx €35. Will be definately be going back! Highly... We walked over to this place 4 times while in Paris for a week, each time it was better. The people were friendly and food was awesome.

One of the most beautiful streets is rue Cler off the base of the Champs de Mars (Eiffel Tower) with its colorful flower, fruit, cheese, bread, bakery, wine shops and cafes. Cafe du Marche is one of our favorites and one we had to revisit from a previous trip. The cafe offers the best seating outside to people watch. The... More

Arrive here after 7 p.m. on most days of the week and you'll be fighting to get a table and "squoze in" only if you are lucky. Food about average, prices cheap, service amusing and fellow diners a floorshow of their own. Good fun.

We stopped here for a meal after visiting Le Musee d'Orsay and strolling down Rue Cler. Three of us had Confit du Canard, and it was absolutely delicious, And such a reasonable price! We were eating an early dinner and were surrounded by young Parisiens socializing and sharing drinks after work, We watched others strolling by, perhaps picking up something... More
