On our last day of our mini-moon in Paris, we decided to have a lunch at one of the best fish and seafood restaurants - Dessirier. The restaurant was firstly opened in 1883 by Louis Dessirier and his small Parisian café became a big oyster bar and the Cadoret family was running it for 5 generations. In 1996 chef Michel... More

A gastronimique pleasure is waiting for you at le Dessirier. Extremely tasty dishes and so atttractively presented. The Bar tartare with Oysters was delicious as well as the Encornets, amongst many other dishes. Very pleasant staff. Have to book else dificult to have a table. Due to the physical layout of this corner restaurant, where seating is arranged in somewhat... More

Omg. Should i say oh mon Dieu ! We asked the hotel we always stay in Paris this was their second recommendation Michelin Star rated ? . Uhhhh Huge doubts Old folks for servers. Hello, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking some of your precious time to write to us about your last visit in our restaurant. Our restaurant isn't Michelin star rated, although it doesn't excuse the terrible mayhem your were victim of. Thus we wanted to apologize deeply for our waiters' unacceptable behaviour and mistakes. We were deeply impressed with the quality of the food, the service and the location. It was a special occasion for us and the restaurant exceeded the expectations. The portion sizes were very generous complemented with a beautiful amuse and petit fours on the house. Tip: we opted for the Happy Hour menu which offers very good value with 3... More

We use to come here often and always enjoyed the food and the service. We ordered a fish this time recommended by the boss and were very disappointed as it wasn't good at all and despite mentioning it and having one of the staff confirming it was way too cooked, nothing at all was done to compensate this bad experience.... We were looking for good seafood so decided to try Dessirier. Our waiter recommended the fresh white asparagus w/Hollandaise and the whole grilled John Dory which was filleted tableside with a side of the creamiest mashed potatoes we had ever experienced in our lives. He didn't stir us wrong and as we noted many around us took his recommendation to... More

Cannot remember how many years we have been coming here, but the whole experience is totally consistent. Memory serves right we first came in 1979 - because it was the only place open on a Sunday. Since then the whole experience has remained consistent. Seafood - fish are highly recommendable. And be sure to leave space for desert. Service impeccable,... More

This restaurant is a great discovery a very high hand experience by the famous french chef Michel Rostang. I was there for lunch and as french use to say " je me suis regalée" We sat on the terrace, I know is just on the street , but in a rare sunny day in Paris, it was perfect. If the... More

Excelent restaurant. Waiters speak many languages not only French. A little pricey but it worths every cent. Wines ranging from 20 to 3,000 euros. Of courae I ordered the 20 euro bottle and it was ok. Oysters are fresh and delicious. Salmon salad is awesome and dessert makes you feel in heaven. Highly recommended.

Since 1883, the restaurant Dessirier is famous for its fish, seafood and oyster bar. Since 1996, Michel Rostang succeeded to keep up this reputation.
The chef, trained at the Rostang school, and its team prepare whole fish, grilled or "en croute de sel" from the daily arrival: gorgeous sea bream (1,2 kg), turbot (1,5 kg), sea bass (1,2 kg) or the indispensable sole of 1,2 kg which is unique in Paris. The Menu also mixes the "Classiques" such as Bouillabaisse or Vol-a-Vent with new creations like the Lobster & Crab cakes or the Cockles from Barfleur, "Camus" artichoke risetto with "rattes" potatoes.
With its new interior design exalting contemporary art and Cuisine, Dessirier is the place to be in Paris for those who are looking for a sailing spirit.
