Yesterday we went all in French cuisine- escargot, frog legs, onion soup, beef bourguignon, crawfish salad. Surprisingly it tasted less than when we make similar dishes at home. The waitress was quite friendly and understood my poor school French which was nice. We have it...from 2,5 to 4 - all in all 3,5 ⭐️ from us to Le Clos Bourguignon (follow us on Instagram- ratemytrip)More
Last day in Paris (raining) before early evening departure so wanted a hearty 'really french' meal. We certainly got just what we wanted at Le Clos. Located in quiet backstreet just minutes away from Galleries Laffayette, we had a great value feast.
The smiling English...speaking waitress sent us on our way repleat.More
I ordered the frog legs and onion soup. One bite og the frog legs and I had to spir it out. It eas extremely dry. The onion soup did not taste good either. I tried to explain to the waiters that I did nor like...it, but they wouldn't listen.More
.... or probably ordered the wrong food. I ordered French onion soup.... the soup was bland to say the least...there was no flavor st all and the soup looks so pale with a burnt toast on top with no cheese. Then came the froie gras...with toasts which I find lack of flavors. The steak was so tough can’t even finish it. Also ordered duck confit which didn’t come at all...Very difficult to order since the madam that took the orders cannot understand English. The place is tight looks old and worn.More
We ordered beef bourguignon and the frog legs. The beef bourguignon was very disappointing. The flavour was there but the beef was very cheap and chewy. From the reviews we were expecting something much better. The frog legs were fairly good. Service was quite quick...but not very friendly.More
Recommended as a good value by a shopkeeper, the restaurant lived up to its reputation. Equally occupied by locals and travelers the waitstaff was welcoming. The picture menu made it easy for the non-French speaker. We both enjoyed the rum steak cooked to temperature. There...was plenty to choose from. Reportedly the best Creme Brûlée around- we unfortunately passed. An easy walk from Galleria Layette and The Opera it is a nice location.More
Popular but friendly restaurant with nice selection of French and European cuisine a block from Galeries Lafayette and L'Opera. Family friendly, casual and a nice break after a long day of shopping. Excellent french onion soup!
