Gerard Mulot is an irresistible place... you go in and you don't know where to start. Just look around to the pastry, to the gareau, to the scenary, to the art, to the colors - this is a real museum of culinary art. I had the chance to have on the spot made Crep suzette with Grand Marnier !!! No... More

Every time we come to Paris we go here (and almost EVERY DAY we're in Paris!) because it's so good. Breakfast pastries, lunch rolls and terrines and quiches, and desserts of all types. It's rated as one of the best, and it lives up to the hype.

Highly recommend. Very good croissants and pastries. So many good options to choose from. If your seeking a quick breakfast on the go this is a very good place. My girlfriend is a croissant connoisseur and she loved the croissant!

You are truly mesmerised by all the colour, richness and attention to detail. You instantly feel you are where you should be. We found this pretty little jewel by chance, and boy how grateful we were. Everything looks and tastes divine, finally a place where you can actually trust the aspect of the carefully designed sweets. There’s a tremendously vast... More

This bakery makes the most beautiful and best tasting pastries in Paris. The lemon tart, orange tart and tarte tatin are truly delicious. They make both large tarts and individual sizes. The individual size is a bit pricey at € 4.80 each - but well worth it. Their creme brulee is also delicious. They also have prepared foods such as... More

Still one of the best bread, best croissants, vegetables quiches, pies and fruit tarts, clafoutis and cakes of the capital. Cosy. For a perfect Sunday at home. One of the flagship of Saint-Germain-des-Prés I do love.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
