Conveniently close to our hotel 6 of us came for dinner and no-one walked away disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful given our limited knowledge of their languaage.

Great escargot at this nice little cafe/restaurant which caters mainly to locals. Lovely place to go for an evening drink or have a meal. This is the second year running we have visited this cafe.

A group of us were staying at a hotel around the corner and we spent a couple of hours in the afternoon and evening. Didn't eat but coffees, beer and wine were good. Kids welcome. Really friendly local bar and the owner was great, lovely...guy. Would recommend if you are in the area.More

Went to this Bistro a number of times great to watch the world pass by, great people being English waned white coffee and they made one of the nicest we had. Saw some people order a baguette sandwich it was enormous and the lady ran...to the bakers for fresh bread! Highly recommended and very FrenchMore

We took the metro all the way to the end of the line - about a 45 minute ride - in order to walk through a part of the 15th arrondissement. Before walking, my husband and I stopped into Le Bistrot Balard for lunch. The...bistrot was on a corner and had lots of windows. The warmth on the inside and the aroma of lunch-time foods were cozy as we watched the rain on the outside. We ordered the boeuf bourguignon. It was delicious! The service was friendly and efficient. It appeared that this was a favorite gathering place for some of the locals as they stood around the coffee bar, with their dogs laying next to their feet, chatting and laughing. This is not a fancy Parisian bistrot; however, I gave it a score of 4 because for what it is - it deserves this rating. The service was good, the food was hot and delicious, and the people were friendly. Also, the portions of food served were plentiful, yet the prices were quite reasonable.More
