Well, I'm not a sushi fan though. But, still. I went to this place after recommendation. I must tell you that this place serve seriously high quality sushi. We ordered Salmon and prawns as well which was firm and fresh. Warning- SPICY ALERT: The wasabi is already layered between the rice and fish.

I am Japanese so my bar is high, and I think this ace is just ok. Considering some 70% of "Japanese" restaurants have nothing to go with Japan or Japanese chef, this place should be already among the top 30%, as the chef is indeed Japanese and most staff being Japanese. However, my sushi assortment was nothing like the photo.... More

Staying in the Buttes Chamont area? Nakagawa is a small, quiet, delicious place to enjoy sushi and traditional Japanese food. Reasonable prices, great wait staff, friendly atmosphere. Eggplant melts in your mouth, very fresh cabbage and potato salads, and the fish is delicious.

Real Japanese food. The restaurant is quite small. Be sure to check the opening time before coming there. They do not open the whole day and will rest in the middle of the day. The chef is Japanese so the food was really delicious and authentic. I really enjoy it.

We were very lucky when we visited Paris, in that we had a Parisian to suggest/find wonderful places to eat. One night we ended up at Nakagawa, and we ended up having a lovely sushi dinner for a reasonable amount of money. The service was quick, the fish was fresh, and the rice was fantastic. As someone else mentioned, there... More

The food here was really delicious. Be sure to come early, as this restaurant seems very popular and people are queuing outside to get a table in this small but cosy restaurant.

If you are looking for a good, authentic sushi place, with a Japanese chef, away from the touristic places that rip you off, this is the right one. We've been on a rainy June's Sunday night. The restaurant is very small and no reservation allowed but we managed to find a table for two. Alternatively you can eat on the... More

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
