Absolutely wonderful service, great atmosphere, and good unfussy cuisine. Lovely place to stop for lunch when exploring the beautiful Montmartre district

To avoid! It's for tourists, it's not what we call French cuisine. People seems to be borrowed by customers and the Chef seems to be creative, but without success

Rather unexpectedly, right in the middle of Montmartre, this place had tasty crepes, both savoury and sweet. The service was also pleasant although not too efficient, yet the staff smiled a lot and were chatty.

The hottest August day of 2016 (I believe) and after a warm wander around Montmartre lunch at La Boheme was delightful. Not only that but the waiter was friendly and generous (free dessert, where else does that happen in Paris?).

Lovely atmosphere overlooking Place du Tetre, with friendly staff. Great crepes! Being out of season may be why it was peaceful but worth a look anytime if in the area.

Our experience was of hot freshly cooked food, good service and a fair price. Lovely location. The waiter made us very welcome. Definitely recommended.

We visited for lunch as La Boheme 'seemed' to have the most welcoming atmosphere and there were quite a lot of people eating there. We ordered drinks first ... these took about 15mins to arrive then a Moules Frittes ... that took about 30 mins to arrive. Moules were a good portion size, chips were 'home made' but a small... Arrived early in Place du Terre so had brunch there, I was chosen by chance out of the several dozen places in the square and nearby but we chose well. The food was delicious and the prices acceptable, although on the high side, given the position.

It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat at the tables outside taking in the view. Our waiter was quirky and funny. My husband had the pizza, which was fresh and good and I had the set menu. Delicious soup and salmon with fries. No complaints! You also know that the when you eat on a central market square,... More

The worst restaurant I have ever had the misfortune to eat at by far. Mussels were poor quality, reheated (not well), overcooked and still arrived cold! Eggs benedict similarly arrived cold. The restaurant was not even busy (no surprise there i guess), so there was no excuse. The serving staff couldn't care less. Save yourself the feeling of being ripped... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
