Sat outside and watched sun dip below buildings - the light was perfect on Notre Dame - which is right across the river. Tons of people watching, all of the tourist bus lines go by, right on the river and easy walk into St. Germaine.

Food priced very reasonably however the price does reflect what you get. It's very much average food. Nothing fancy. But perfect for a quick lunch. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If you are hungry and passing by I would recommend but I would say go out of your way to go here.

We stopped here for lunch after walking by the Notre Dame. Menu is tourist friendly if you're not a French speaker(available in English) and the service was great. Food was delicious and quick to serve. Would recommend.

Café Panis is located right across the river from Notre Dame Cathedral. After our descent from the tower we were hungry, saw this place, and without knowing anything about it we just headed over. I’m glad that we went. Our server spoke English which was really nice and communication was easy. They also have English menus. I really liked our... More

We had a great simple lunch here. My wife enjoyed the foie gras and I enjoyed the cheese plate. Our teenagers enjoyed a bacon cheeseburger and a club sandwich. The food was delicious and the service was very good.

This was the complete opposite. walked in and got seated immediately with 6 people and the waiter was so nice, ordered right away got croque madame... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
