We went for quick lunch and asked for a club sandwich. The sandwich was frozen. The tomatoes were literally frozen. We claim about it and they just warm up the sandwich and give it back to us.

I've seen this restaurant described as a brasserie. As such, it is exceptionally simple and unpretentious. Seating is primarily café style tables, reasonably spaced. They serve nice food at nice prices. We chose it for dinner after an evening visit to the Musée de Luxembourg, which is a short walk away. At 9PM on a Friday evening, during "vacance scolaire",... A quant and lovely corner bar / restaurant. A classic Paris style neighbourhood eatery and bar. Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. French style cuisine and family friendly.

We went in for lunch after a walk in St Germain area. The place was hip and modern but a bit cramped. By the time we left it got very busy. We had a roasted chicken and a salmon dish and both were lovely. Service was fast and professional. Prices were reasonable.

We arrived on a flight from Barcelona, caught a taxi to the hotel and then, at 9pm walked around the area to see what we could find to eat. Au Vieux Colombier looked like a good option. It proved to be terrific. The staff were helpful and friendly, the place was alive with people enjoying themselves, the food was good... More

Stopped in for dinner, cold and hungry. Found friendly service and great food. My kid had a croque monsieur and fries, which were excellent, and I had curry chicken salad, also very good. We shared a crème brûlée for dessert, which they put a candle in in honor of my kid's birthday. Would definitely go back again.

We stumbled upon this place while wandering St Germain. We only had drinks, and the price of a bottle of wine is quite steep - but if you like a nice wine with a nice atmosphere - you will love this place. The service was friendly and the food that those around us had looked really nice - so definitely... More

Good food, pleasant, young staff, and charming mix of old French style cafe and hip modern bistro. Perfect spot for a French bistrot lunch - don't miss their plats du jour. Very busy at lunch time, you might have to wait a few minutes if you arrive before 2:00pm - but if you come later the plats du jour may... More

We'd been there for lunch last year & tried it for dinner tonight. We didn't have a reservation & it wasn't a problem. Friendly service, good atmosphere, pleasant decor and the food was excellent. We both had duck confit and it was superb, juicy, succulent, and most tasty. A most enjoyable meal.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
