We appreciated this restaurant after our visit to La Villette. Service was excellent. Food well prepared and served hot. Good atmosphere. Recommended without a doubt!

I used to come here before (the food was very average but the location is great and the staff was very friendly). Well... the food is still very average but some of the new staff is now absolutely terrible... I did not really experience this...myself directly (except a lack of friendliness and a lack of attention), but I observed the attitude of this new staff with some people around me. It was appalling... Here a rockabilly waiter explaining in a very rude manner to a polite couple that the very long delay for having one of the main dishes was due to a mistake of the Kitchen.. The couple waited 30 min. after the other main dish arrived, they preferred to cancel when they were told that the dish was forgotten and, unbelievably enough, the waiter seemed to be upset and reproachful (and I shall insist: the couple was all along polite or even shy...). Here another waiter explaining with the same rude manner to a nice family that they will have some extra to pay for almost everything, etc... and who shouted "It is the will of the direction" to a man who did ask a sit for having a lunch at 11.20am and who was retorted 30min. later that no food could be ordered by noon. And there a gross waitress spreading the same rudeness to all of her clients not even saying anything putting things on the tables... (or with a bore and weary tone...). Really. The management must rethink the approach. A local place must have a friendly staff.More

First time here, I had already had dinner next door at the pizzeria, which is pretty sick, but never there. Service is not as good as next door, but the food is really correct. Red meat was really good, with homemade french fries. Wine not...so good. I gave only 3 stars cause the prices... come on guys, 18.5 euros for a small piece of meat and a dozen fries, I was still so hungry after that! It's annoying to be ripped off like this! Other than this good place to eat and decent setting.More

Quite good and fast service. Unfortunately there is English menu. But main issue was about food. Food was not tasty at all, but still simple and eatable ;) cocktail was terrible.More

A good spot for lunch or an evening meal. The place has that undefinable buzz you get when people are happy with their company, and the food and drink. We enjoyed a pleasant evening meal, wine, beer and coffee for 56 euros. You can also...sit up at the bar if you just want a coffee, as we did on our reconnaissance trip. Spotlessly clean, and the heated outdoor area will allow you to sit out having a coffee while looking at the dedicated joggers and cyclists going up and down the towpath of the canal. We had the feeling that this place was frequented by a lot of the locals, why else were three young thirty somethings doing their knitting whilst chatting away after their meal?More

We came across this restaurant as we were staying nearby and it’s in a nice location along the canal. It’s quite a traditional menu and although I was slightly disappointed with my coq au vin, the chocolate fondant I had for dessert was amazing. Wine...was also great. I would probably visit again, it was a nice restaurant, atmosphere and service was friendly - looked like they did good cocktails too but we didn’t have any.More

We dined the day before Christmas and had a great time. The staff e're good in suggesting wines to go with our dishes. We all chose different rottiserie dishes, which were very generous in their proportions. Having two young children with us, the staff were...also very accommodating of their younger, but fussy palates. Definitely worth a visit for a casual, but enjoyable dining experience.More

Earlier in the month, I went to Paris for the first time. Toured the sights during the day and each night I tried to find a different spot to relax and have a couple drinks. Maison Becquey was the best one I stopped in at...for two reasons. 1. The cafe setting was relaxed and inviting posted right on the canal. 2. Mélissa tends a great bar and can keep the conversation going in multiple languages. It’s nice to see a place where the staff are having a good time being there. Will definitely be stopping in when I’m in Paris again.More

We visited this lively bistrot located on the south bank of the canal de l'Ourcq twice the same day. Firstly, for a coffee on the sunny terrace facing the canal and we were pleased to find an excellent Lavazza, correctly prepared and quickly served. (To...note that having a quick coffee at the bar costs only 1 euro, just like we were home). The same evening, in search for a good place to dinner, we were attracted by a energetic and friendly atmosphere and we were seated immediately in maybe the last table for 6 available in the restaurant. Orders were taken quickly and delivered 15 minutes later. Food was attentively prepared with distinctive passion, and carefully served by the waiter together with a decent bottle of red Languedoc reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to follow the suggestion of the day (cote de boef masterfully cooked) and indulge with a dessert. The clientele is mixed, predominantly from the area with few tourists. Overall, one of the best address along the canals.More

Friendly place, lots of organic food on offer and nice wine. Really enjoyed the foie, mackerel and mi cuit chocolate pudding well worth the 8 mins wait. Lovely location overlooking the canal. And open Sunday night!
