Very friendly and helpful to us with limited French. Food was excellent and plentiful. Wide variety to choose from

We stopped here after finding that the posh place round the corner was full. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite our French being almost nonexistent. We chose the cassoulet dish of the day which included a nice goats cheese starter, followed by cassoulet with a creme caramel for dessert. The cassoulet was outstanding (and I've tasted a few... Went here for lunch on a Saturday in Carcassonne and had a really great experience! The staff were wonderful and definitely some of the friendliest we encountered on our entire trip to Carcassonne. Although my meal didn't impress me (I had the three cheese tagliatelle, which is the reason I've taken 1 star off my review), my sister was raving... More

We kind of stumbled into this place, but were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. I had a lasagna, my mom and aunt both had chicken à la crème. Both dishes were very tasty. Great value!

Lunched here in Carcassonne with a couple of friends. I had the cassoulet one of my favourite dishes from this part of the world. It was good and filling and accompanied by a cheap but adequate red wine. Together with an onion soup to start and an "ile flottante" to finish it was a lunch to enjoy and perfect for... More

I really enjoyed my meal at Café de la Comedie. I had my first taste of cassoulet and it was divine:) It was a good sized portion, served piping-hot and full of flavour. The atmosphere was great - very relaxed and easy-going - and I shared a few words with the very friendly owner before I left.

This is a beautiful restaurant hidden in one of the smaller roads in Carcassonne. We ate there twice and were not disappointed. Their onion soup is awesome and the staff are very friendly.

We were in carcassonne for four night and eat here for three nights. What a find, lovely atmospheric old French style restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and spoke very good English. The food was excellent, especially the burger mansion, it was the best burger, so succulent with goats cheese and fries to die for. My husband enjoyed... More

Dropped in as it was busy even though around half were Brits. Popular restaurant with a good choice of food. Both of us had salads, one a roquefort and the other salmon, which were good sized and excellent. Be prepared for a little noise although this is more than made up by the food.
