My son (17) who is an avid steak lover found this place when we were looking for somewhere to eat whilst in Montpellier. The menu is minuscule, a walnut and lettuce salad and steak (cooked how you like it) huge portions of chips and a...More

One thing on the menu - steak and chips. But it was very nice. Choice of two reds, again, a nice wine. Good puddings. Friendly service. All round - as long as you are happy to have a steak... and chips, you'll probably like it,.

Saw people standing in line nightly and then researched it. Wonderful place with ONE menu choice! A wonderful steak in a rich buttery sauce and all the fries you can eat! We sopped up the remaining sauce with the french bread. Lots of desert options....More

I went here after having read the reviews , it gets 5 points. If I had just gone there by chance I would have found it strange with only one menu. So, it was clear what I should get and I got it. Service excellent...More

We happened to walk by this restaurant today and we are so thankful we decided to try it. They only serve steak in a secret sauce, unlimited fries, salad and bread. It is perfection. I rarely eat red meat, but this was beyond delicious and...More

So it is pretty obvious but the unique thing about this restaurant chain is that there is only one starter- a lettuce and walnut salad plus dressing- and only one main course- steak frites. The choice is then down to how you like your steak...More

Very good restaurant. For 19€ you got a walnut salad in a good dressing followed by beautiful steak frites. Service was excellent as was the ambience at an outside table. Very good dining experience.

Entrecote is easily my favourite restaurant chain - France or anywhere. The concept is very simple - a lettuce and walnuts starter (yes, that's all!), followed by the most delicious meat I have ever tasted and then - if you want - cheese. The first...More

The entrecôte here is magnificent, the only menu choice. It's not the best thing that I've ever eaten but never regret eating there. Good service, and the meat it's cooked exactly how you order it. My daughter loves to go there. One choice of salad,...More

Steak was tasty, properly cooked and seasoned. Service efficient perhaps a little rushed. Far too many frites but they were tasty. Bread & wine OK. If you know you just want a steak frites then this place is perfectly adequate. Not much personality.

The unique menu remained unchanged since the beginning. This formula is a decked slice of sirloin of 170 grams accompanied by french fries and its famous sauce. His son Henry, opened a restaurant in Toulouse in 1962, in Bordeaux in 1966, in Nantes in 1980, in Montpellier in 1990, and finally, in Lyon in 1999. These restaurants are characterized by scots and black mural, a lemon yellow topping and hostesses dressed with yellow apron and black blouse. The exterior is beautified by yellow and black blinds vertical stripes for the best effect.
