This is a lovely, discreet elegant bistro near the market serving freshly made aioli with vegetables, homemade breads, sorbets and the regional specialty 'brandade' with truffles and olives. Brandade is an emulsion of salt cod and olive oil, usually eaten in the winter, and eaten with bread and potatoes. Delicious! The 3 course set menu is a bargain at about... More

Dinner in this restaurant was our best culinary experience after 8 days in South France. I can count Brandade (a fish speciality from Nimes) or fish Jullienne as main dish but also a kind of beef carpacio as starter. Beside excellent food, location is very good being close to hotel Imperator, inner stylish terasse, waiting time between dishes just normal,... More

We went here after reading about the restaurant on multiple websites and in our Guide Vert. We were disappointed - the dishes sounded exciting and the prices were attractive, but the service felt overstated and missed target. The wait staff spent so much time running around to individually serve bread and pour clients more wine from the bottles on their... More

Aux Plaisiers des Halles prides itself on using all fresh ingredients purchased at Nimes' central market (les Halles) about 150 metres away. An evening "menu" is offered at 25 euros: choice of one of 2 entrees, plus one of 2 plats and a dessert. I highly recommend the carpaccio beef as an entree. Wine list is extensive. Service is friendly,... More

Great combination of flavours, local products, wine selection and service. For fine gourmets at excellent price.

This restaurant does not feature the traditional cuisine of the region. If you’re looking for trendy dishes served in small portions, this could be for you. It was not for us. Regional wines are served, mostly priced far above 20 €.

Terrible experience, the fod was old even the "assiette fromage" which i have never tried before in France. We send allmost all the dishes back. Then the chef came and yeld at us. Don't visit it, and cancel your table if you have made a reservation. If Gordon Ramsey visit he would close the restaurant because of bad hygine. How... More

Went there for a lunch for around 25 euros. We were really pleased. The bread selection is really good, the entrees were creative and well done, a really generous and tasty salad and the main course was really tasty, both the fish as the meat. Desert was simple but very tasty. Nice presentation and everything irreprochable. The service was good,... More

This place had great reviews, and the negative ones we read focused on irrelevancies - so we decided this would be the perfect dinner out in Nimes. We were wrong. The location is nice, but that is the only positive thing I can say - and it's safe to file this restaurant under the "tourist trap" folder. Dont go here.... More

We were in Nimes to go to a concert and sought out this restaurant, as we found it was the most recommended in the various books we have. We were not disappointed. The quality of the food, especially the fish and scallops, was superb. The service was attentive and efficient. Good wine list.
