This meal was certainly one of the best we've ever had in France. A set menu for about euro 25, we both had a spectacular goats cheese starter, then steak for me and duck for my husband for mains, and finished with creme brûlée and apple tart for pudding. It was magnificent simple French dining and very friendly service. We... More

My wife and I stumbled on this little gem on a side street. We were greeted and served by the charming owner/chef. The dining room is attractive, with seating for only sixteen. The 25€ menu had several choices in each category, including a daily chef's recommendation. We enjoyed a entree of warm goat cheese on toast over a bed of... More

Our waitress spoke some English and was most helpful. Entree and Play was 17E and gave three choices of entree and four for the Plate. Three in our party were pleased with our choices and decided to add dessert. You cannot go wrong with food gras and canard. Off season no reservations necessary.

Charming family owned and run restaurant. Nicely decorated with beautiful old beam ceiling. Excellent service. No request is too much trouble. Regional wines. Very tasty dishes ! Lovely evening.

This place is slightly off the beaten track but worth seeking out. The food was excellent and very good value for money. The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly. We all had the 20 Euro Formule of beetroot carpaccio salad with nuts, the salmon with leeks and then either creme brûlée or chocolate mousse. All were excellent.

We visited Le Papillon two years ago and enjoyed ourselves very much. This year we returned and it was even better. Family run, great service, very reasonable prices, location convenient to Albi tourist sites, and the food is terrific. When you visit Albi, you should not miss this wonderful restaurant.

Greeted by very friendly owner , 25.00€ menu had great choices. Salmon quiche and goats cheese starters both very tasty. Veal main for my husband and chefs special of wild boar for me! Extra steak added to my husbands as a treat! Both mains were superb, the boar beyond words!!! Creme brûlée for dessert and very nice bottle of red!... More

Already when I entered I smelled fresh bread (I normally don't eat it but this was fresh and hat a very nice crust so I had even two slices!). The food was very fresh and so delicious! I had the suggestion (black pudding that melted on my tongue), then "claviature de canard" (3 different types: breast, filet and homemade foie... More

I suspect past positive reviewers have sipped one too many aperitifs before dining here! My god our meal was horrendous! It didn't start well: as we walked in, our nostrils were accosted by a miasmic stench of poor plumbing which continued until the kitchen began sending out orders. We should have turned and left at this point but, alas, it... More

Three of us ate such different meals and all plates were great - one adventurous menu called 'chef's choice', one vegetarian menu, one daily menu. Menus are in French and in English. Very hearty, flavorful food. Service very good, pleasant. Prices reasonable if not cheap for what we ate.
