I tried reserving a table via lafourchette.com (a trip advisor company by the way). Reservation was made for 5 persons, and confirmed, number 61313526 . 90 minutes before the due time I get an SMS through which they cancelled my reservation. I called the restaurant and they confirmed they were fully booked. This is a sloppy behavior in my books.... More

An impromptu visit to Toulouse during our stay in Carcassonne. This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist in our hotel. The outside unfrotunately does not do the establishment justice, as from the outside it looks like a fast food take away. Inside the decor is quite different. Brick wall, wooden ceiling, large mural on the wall. Serves typical local dish... More

We truly enjoyed our meal at Le Columbier. We ordered the regional menu, green salad and cassoulet. The green salad was really good with an excellent dressing, and the cassoulet was well-cooked and tasty. Reservations are a must, as this is a popular local place, and often has large family groups.

We had dinner here recently to try the local cassoulet dish followed by homemade apple pie and ice cream. The cassoulet was very tasty but we then waited another hour before the apple pie was served. The wait staff consisted of the maitre d and another waitress; both worked very hard but they were clearly rushed off their feet in... More

The signature dish is the cassoulet. This typical southwestern bean/goose/sausage stew has numerous renderings, but best I could tell this lighter more delicate yet flavorful version with the accompanying lettuce salad is as good as gets. The service was good and relatively fast for France.

most unpleasant experience in a foreign restaurant, and we are well traveled. only reason for 2 star instead of 1 is food is edible but average at best, definitely not worth their price point. arrogant staff/owner speaking with condescending tone, if you do not appreciate foreign non-French speaking customers that is fine, we will go elsewhere.

I had cassoulet for lunch. The fragrance arrived before the food appeared on the table. It's full of flavor. It's indeed on the somewhat salty side, but maybe that's what it is supposed to be. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant decor is interesting. A great experience for my last day in Toulouse.

Cosy ambiance, lovely lovely staff and great food. We had our 1st dinner in France in Le Colombier and it was a great experience. We ordered the Menu Regionale - a delicious entrée, cassoulet, a typical dish (white beans and meat) and croustard aux pommes (apple pie). It was a delicious meal, and the ladies running the restaurant were very... More

I shy away from writing negative reviews, but my experience here was a little above poor. In fact just the starter, one dessert and the house wine saved it. The rest of the meal was frankly disappointing, the "famous" cassoulet just ok and one dessert inedible. Also bizarre was two servers for a very busy restaurant. They did their best... More

Le Colombier is a lovely little traditional restaurant in the heart of Toulouse - offering warm service, good food and an extensive wine list. As one of the best known "Maisons du Cassoulet" in Toulouse, there was only really option for main course and we weren't disappointed. The cassoulet was rich and full of flavour - without being greasy or... More
