Came on this place quite by chance for Sunday lunch. Absolutely a quintessential French brasserie, right down to the waiter who wants to be a bit aloof & surly & fails miserably because he's really quite nice & efficient. We came for a starter & pudding. Both excellent. Langoustines & their speciality Welsh rarebit. For afters a crepe Suzette &... More

We came here for dinner and weren't disappointed. We had the steak and duck and they were both delicious! Lovely starters, bread, wine and tiramisu as well. Service was very friendly and efficient too. Very convenient to drop by for dinner or during the day as you're exploring the centre of town. Merci!

....must be a trencherman of the first order. If you are hungry and need sustinance in first-rate quality and quantity, as the Brasserie Andre is certainly to be recommended. A speciality of the house is bizare, a Welsh rarebit - there is a tiny bit of toast somewhere under the fondu of delicious cheese but enough to feed a besieging... More

We wanted somewhere really French, did some research and found this place. That people were saying it was an old fashioned French place didn't put us off, because that's what we wanted. Oysters, escargot, beef with pepper sauce (proper pepper sauce)... All traditional and excellent. Service is stuffy, almost fitting. Went in early one day to book for that evening,... More

This is a charming brasserie - almost 100 years old. We went as our B&B hostess said it was open on a Sunday. I had beef bourguignon which was very nice, classically done. My wife had a welsh simple - glorified cheese on toast. All nicely done with good service, but the wine was on the pricey side for what... More

Came here with friends when we were in Lille to watch football. Food was okay pretty poor in general. We had escargot and I had Le Welsh which is similar to Welsh rarebit. Sat outside which was nice but food unspectacular and quite expensive.

On a very rainy day in Lille we stopped here for some lunch and got exactly what we were looking for; comfy and relaxing atmosphere, pleasant waiters and great French food. The snails were full of garlic, herbs and butter. The lamb was brilliantly cooked and the beef (with Foie Gras) I am told by my partner was amazing. Add... More

Outdated and don't hope to find a light cuisine but the real brasserie kitchen : bavette, onglet, tartare, pommel frites, escargots de bourgogne : tasteful but so greasy. So try their salades, forget the calories and watch the frenchies. You'll enjoy it.

Stumbled across the Brasserie whilst trying to find somewhere good to eat, what a treat! The staff made us and our 1 year old feel so welcome. Great meal of scampi starter followed by duck confit. Great wine, lovely service, restaurant packed on a week night!
