Near to restaurant Clement Marot there are numerous other restaurants. I looked at them all and chose to eat here as it was getting some good reviews and I liked the menu. The restaurant has an open terrace at the back which was a bonus as it was a lovely warm evening. All the other restaurants have tables and chairs... More

I with my colleagues visit the restaurant in February and we spend our time there for cooking course. It was very nice evening and the chef is very very good. It was very fanny and very tasty evening. I would like to visit the restaurant once again. I recommend it.

This restaurant is sublime. It is the best dining experience I have ever had in France. The food is excellent, with local specialties and seasonal produce. The fixed menus offer great value. Worth having the cheese course because of the drama of the cheese trolley. Same could be said of the crepes suzette, made tableside on another trolley. The chef... More

The food here is delicious, the menu us reanably priced, it is a very nice atmosphere, and the staff is really friendly and helpful, all in all a good experience. The food is french classic - you should not come here looking for unusual combinations of different savors - here it is traditional dishes in good quality.

Formidable!!! A perfect example of a classic, gracious French restaurant. An excellent menu comprising traditional dishes, all perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and served with warmth and style. The waitress has recently qualified as a sommelier and gave excellent suggestions for wine and food pairings without pushing the top end prices from the wine list. The chef/patron prepared several dishes at... More

We went there twice: the first visit was 5 stars, the second three. The owner left for his vacation in between! Good French cuisine, the service and the decor are quite formal. Some interesting wines.

We took a day trip to Lille to celebrate my wife's birthday and chose Restaurant Clement Marot for her birhtday lunch. We chose a 4 course meal. It was delicious, an amuse, main, cheese and a desert. The amuse was a wild mushroom soup, the main was slow cooked lamb, the cheeses were local and the for desert I had... More

We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We had booked in advance as it was a Saturday. When we arrived the restaurant was in darkness and a lady shouted out at us from the back in French asking if we had a reservation. She did not seem convinced that we had. The staff were only just arriving and we're... More

I had a dinner here with 20 colleagues from International conference and everyone left happy! Food was excellent, service as well, we has a big nice room for a group, nicely decorated. In particular, I enjoyed fish. I will come back next time!

Restaurant Clment Marot in the touristic centre of Lille has history and style galore. The warm, rustic/modern dining room features peached paneling, antler chandeliers, wooden beams, and smart curving banquettes at circular tables. Chef Francois Vandeweghe uses the finest local and seasonal produce to create traditional dishes according to his mood and remember that Lille is as much Flemish as French. The menu might include snail and tomato puff pastry tart with parsley sauce, veal kidneys with mustard and lemon sauce, and a marvelous rhubarb crumble with liquorice ice cream, followed by truly superb coffee. More than 250 wines await you in the cellar. For private dining, there are three rooms adaptable for banqueting, meetings or presentations. The elegant Chicoree Room seats up to 36 diners. The La Porte Room, with its grand, antique fireplace, private courtyard and cream walls, is superb for art exhibitions and cocktail parties. The Upper Room on the first floor seats up to 25. Get the full joie de vivre of Clment Marot book a cookery lesson (in French) either privately or for your corporate group of 14 to 24, including apron, jacket and chefs hat with the company logo and certificates of achievement.
