On Mondays in November Bayeux is extremely quiet and there were very few places open in the area around the cathedral. this restaurant was great with a traditional menu. My companion had the terrine and the lapin which was very good. I have the traditonal...More

Well I have to say that the saying "the king has no clothes" really does apply to Paris. The place is overrated in so many ways. By contrast, our experience in Bayeux was amazing. This was the first really excellent dinner that we had since...More

An excellent French restaurant -- a lovely house Calvados as aperitif -- beautifully cooked seafood and fish and especially strong desserts --profiteroles and one of the best Tarte Tatins ever.

Smart restaurant serving Normandy food. Fresh oysters and a menu of Calvados were the highlights. Friendly bilingual staff. Formula menus available.

4 is probably a bit high. Good quality food but simple, reasonable choice, limited wine list but ok solid service. A nice resto for good solid food

We had seafood for starters and both were delicious. My husband had the multi choice seafood and loved every bite. I had the chicken dish for main and my husband had scallops one night. The second night we had fish and pork. Finished by the...More

Went here on our hotel's recommendation. Good, basic food. Not a lot of creativity, but a decent meal for a reasonable price.

Lots of different levels of “trying something new” in our group and we all found something delicious that we enjoyed. Lovely setting. Convenient to our hotel Villa Lara. Wonderful staff willing to answer way too many questions! :-) Enjoy!

My French wife and I were traveling through Normandy with her parents and stopped in Bayeux for the evening. Our hotel recommended a couple of restaurants, one being Le Pommier which we stumbled upon as we were approaching the Cathédrale Notre-Dame. After looking at the...More

Description
The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical. The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them. Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances. Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing. Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel. And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert... It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
