While my wife and I had visited France on several previous occassions, we had never managed to tour the D-Day beaches and memorials. We booked a room in Bayeux for five days in April, and during that time, had dinner at Le Pommier three times!...More

Not cheap. But it is a serious restaurant with fine food. Again, centrally located, modern yet charming decor, very good service. Varying set menus.... All6 of us ordered different dishes and all were fantastic! Bill came to 320€ for 6 of us with one bottle...More

This is a large restaurant with nice decor located just down from the cathedral. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing and nothing memorable and very expensive for what it is. The food was bland and slightly over cooked. The presentation was old fashioned more pub...More

We walked in with no booking close to 9pm with a party of 9 with 3 kids and a dog. No problem accommodating us and we were delighted with the food and wines we ordered. The location is right next to the Cathedral so great...More

We really loved this restaurant so had both of our evening meals in Bayeux here. The staff were efficient and very friendly, including the owner. The food was of a high quality and delicious.

We had a very good meal for a very nice price. Very cosy interior. A lot of choice. Highly recommended!

Le Pommier seemed to have a reputation of being finer dinning, but was nothing to put you off. It was a relaxed environment, with great tasting food and friendly staff. All of us had the salt marsh lamb, which was a massive portion of tender...More

We had a lovely dinner here. I called to make reservations and was too exhausted to try to speak French. They hung up on me. LOL. I had my French-speaking daughter call with success. The food and service was very good.

We ate dinner here after a day visiting Bayeux. The food was well cooked and they even have a vegatarian section in the menu (Bravo!) There is a broad choice of well cooked food and the location is easy walking distance from the central hotels...More

The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical. The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them. Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances. Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing. Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel. And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert... It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
