This was the first place we stopped at in Bayeux having just arrived in time for a late lunch. The location is very picturesque in the old part of the town next to the river. Inside Le Triskell is very small and mainly full of local people. We had to wait quite a while for our order as they were... More

This restaurant is hidden down a stone walkway and tucked away but is worth seeking out. The service was very friendly even though there was a slight language barrier. The rest of the guests present were all French which speaks volumes about the quality of the dining. The Savoyarde galette is the best of 8 that I have tasted on... More

We loved our dinner here. Very good galletes for main course and crepes for desert. Staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Go find this spot.

This is the main stay restaurant of our visits to Normandy and is a must if you want decent gallettes and crepes. My family visited twice in a week as our son wanted his birthday meal here. The owners are very freindly and only use local products, including the cider

Saw the sign beside the tourist office and decided to give it a try! Glad I did! First of all it takes you passed a cute water wheel! I love those things. Feels like Beauty and the Beast! Secondly, the lady spoke great English. I try really hard to do things in French but sometimes I just suck at it... More

We had visited this restaurant a few years ago so thought it would be nice to go again. Good choice! On our first trip we had crepes - beautifully cooked (and generous portions!). Went for salads the next time as we did not want to spoil our dinner! I had ham and cheese, himself - salade nicoise. Again, good choices.... More

We both had the Galette; fantastic. A good sized portion, the crepe was nicely done and the dish well balanced. The dijon sauce on the salad was subtle and flavourful. A friendly enjoyable lunch; a little smokey but great atmosphere ( a little cooking smoke from the kitchen). Recommended

We found Le Triskell by accident, it's down the small street opposite Churchill Hotel and then a quick left, behind the towns main area and tourist office. Simple, fresh , warm and tasty crepes and galettes. Wide range on menu including omelets and salads. Some local cider, my crepe of lemon and strawberry, my husbands galette of ham and eggs,... More

This is our default destination for crepe's in the Bayeux region, simply because they are so great. They do both galettes and crepes and have such a wonderful choice of fillings, that you are bound to find something you like. They are cooked fresh and with a glass of local cider, go down a treat! It is only a small... More
