Well worth dropping by for a long lunch after visiting Monet's Garden. The jovial and friendly owner looks after you as though you are his favourite cousin. Great grilled meats selection although a limited menu overall. Nicely priced wines selection including some cellared gems. Recommendable.

After visiting Monet's garden, we had some time before the bus went back. Stopped in here to have coffee and a snack- self service style with seating outdoors available. Nice selection and staff.

My husband and I took a dream trip to Paris but the one dream I had was driving out of the city to see the world Monet loved and cherished as home. We chose a wonderful driver to take us there and on the way we stopped at this lovely home. I say home because that is how you feel... More

We had a very nice meal on the way to see Monet's gardens. The service was good, and chef even came out to check on the customers. The only place in France that happened. I didn't think the prices were any worse than any other restaurant.

With no thermometer, she grilled the best steak and chicken with skill and no drama. Plus she had a number of tables full in her small room; and she served everyone. Very exceptional experience!

We found this place after a long drive from Le Havre. It was a beastly hot day and the interior of the restaurant had no air conditioning. We ate in the garden under umbrellas. The menu was very limited, and was a problem for those of us that are vegetarians. The prices for salads and cheeses are really high, but... More

A typical "tourist trap" restaurant. OK it is nice to eat outdoors on a fine day in pretty surroundings however the food was no more than adequate, the service a tad inattentive and the value for money very poor.

Giverny is flooded with tourists that are going to see the Monet gardens every day. Almost the first restaurant you pass is Lag Gentilhommiere. When the weather is fine you can enjoy pure French food in al beautifull garden setting. Lovely salads but also charcoal grilled chicken and meat. On a large open fire all grilled dishes are prepared. The... More

You pass this small place on the path from the bus stop (bus from Vernon train station) to the Monet House and gardens. It was overcast and a little chilly. The wood fire in the 6-table interior was just the ticket to drive away the gloom. Only one of the outside tables was occupied, because of the weather. The menu... More

A small house just before you enter the gardens of Monet in Giverny...a beautiful old house where you can eat inside or amongst the gardens under umbrellas. Excellent cuisine fro. Foie Gras to salads...the atmosphere is intoxicating as are the host and hostess! Worth a stop before walking five minutes to the Monet gardens
