Love L'Hippocampe, reliably good. Heavenly steak. Lovely staff. Gorgeous view, right on the beautiful Honfleur basin. Honfleur - heaven.

This restaurant is elegant. The food was nice. We had chicken and sea bream. The desserts were great.

Quite contrary to the reviews I have just read, we had an excellent time at L'hippocampe. We arrived at a busy time so had to wait about twenty minutes for a table. We were a party of seven plus a dog so not easily accommodated at a lot of places. We sat in the late October sunshine on the Quay... More

In Etretat, really the worse not the best of restaurants of the coast unfortunately. Nice place to visit, but very poor quality of the restaurants. Tourism office low quality, tried to be polite, but the manager is very arrogant.

We chose this restaurant for its location and the minute the maitre d spoke to us we experienced that surly French attitude that no one enjoys. Loved the mussels- seafood stew was very bland- think you could do better elsewhere.

This was a restaurant we found free around 9pm in Honfleur, a truly beautiful place by the sea in Normandie. The owner and the waiter could not smile. That was an issue you are a tourist , visiting a very nice village and you would like to have dinner. Should you feel feel guilty about that? Food was good, wine,... More

Stopped here for lunch, waiting staff rushed and not very friendly. Asked for a table, and the waitress indicated the table and did not want us to sit down until she had put paper tablecloths on top, which she did while muttering and being generally surly. Slow service, waiter wanted to take the entire order and drinks at once, seemed... More

We chose this restaurant because it's located directly at the old port in Honfleur. Our expectations about the food were not too high. But we have been positively surprised. Food was nothing special but all dishes were definitely okay.

A great place on the quay to stop and eat. Not too expensive and the best mussels we had all week. Ours sons had the tuna which was also lovely. The sun was shining too!

A place on the edge of the quai - what a pittoresque scene for dinner. The menu was great, well presented and the food was great. The chicken breast and moules frites was tasty and well prepared. The desert rounded off a great meal.
