We booked for an evening meal (booking advisable as it is very popular and often full). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter helped us to understand the menu and we made choices from the a la carte section. My skate wing came with a piquant tomato and herb sauce which was delicious. My wife's coquilles St Jacques... More

Very popular restaurant, so be sure to book ahead. Not very big, and tables are very close together. The room can get very hot. The service was good, the food was very good and the price was decent. We were very happy with our meal and would definitely eat there again.

It is located in the old part of the city. There are available a few nice tables outside but for these a reservation is better. The service is good. Most of the food in the list is seafood. Price not cheap. Fir 2 persons around 100 euros.

Off the beaten tourist track we had a delicious lunch. Perfectly seasoned seafood and beautiful oysters. Excellent wine choices. The staff was friendly and politely tolerated my abysmal French!

We have been here many times before but today it was so special we had to review! After a long journey we just wanted somewhere to wind down and have a reviving meal and this is just the place. It is warm with a lovely wood fire, welcoming and efficient staff and good wholesome food. The lamb choose were excellent... More

L'Homme de Bois exceeded our expectations. Being our first night in France we didn't want anything too fussy. We'd seen solid reviews on TripAdvisor along with a Rick Steves recommendation. We booked a table on the first floor. Homey, warm ambience greeted us on a rainy day. The fresh fish was cooked perfectly and the creme brûlée was fabulous. We... More

Foie was good, the beef was superb in quality. Portions are very large, if I had known I would have only eaten the beef. The service was correct too, I would come here again.

This place was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B that we were staying in as the type of place locals would go for lunch. Can't exactly vouch for that but it was busy (in a good way) and there were plenty of French folk eating there. Regardless of any of that, it was a really good lunch... More

Within a location just off St. Catherine's Square, thus eaterie was full of all the expectation of a lazy day French restaurant. The staff have worked hard at their English language which is always welcomed by non linguistic customers. The recommendations from the menu were superb with the Scallop dish unlike as anything to be found on British shores. Enviable... More

Dreadful experience at this restaurant. Booked a table as recommended by our hotel in Deauville, to take my Octogenarian parents in law to for dinner on 14th Sept. 7.30pm booking. Tricky to park in Honfleur but we did and then walked "Nanny and Papa" gently uphill to the restaurant, by which time they were ready to drop. We were 10... More
