After a long drive from the Netherlands we decided to go to the beautiful city Honfleur. We walked around and looked for a place to have a quick lunch. We went to L'Albatros and we sat outside. The staff was okay not that friendly but it is a high tourist place so we do we expect. We had a hot-dog... More

We had a simple lunch consisting of burgers and some cold beer at one of their outside tables along the Harbor. Beautiful setting on a picture perfect day. Our server was attentive and spoke good english and prices were fair. I remember saying to myself this really hit the spot and left happy.

It was pouring with rain so we looked for a quick stop on arrival in Honfleur. This proved to be a poor choice. This harbour-side café is charging premium prices, even in February, but delivering basement services. We paid EUR31 for 3x coffees and a small beer. This included an extra supplement for the privilege of sitting outside (50 cents... More

We popped in L'Albatros for a light lunch after strolling the harbor. Great location overlooking the harbor, this café seems to be popular with the locals. We enjoyed our salads and coffee. Fair price and decent service.

Alba is a fun place. Good basic, nice house wine, great oysters, lovely eggs&bacon breakfast, good coffee, cheerfully grumpy folk. Advice - go in there with as much French as you have, even if its not much, and you will be welcome. If you don't make an effort then don't go here. We have been back many times, and they... More

This Bar/restaurant was right on the Quay, service was friendly and efficient and it is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Also excellent Crepes.

Had breakfast here. Traditional bread, croissant, jam, butter, juice and coffee/tea. It was fine. We also stopped for drinks one evening which was fine and it was more lively than other bars on the harbour

Celled in for a spot of lunch and a couple of Belgian Beers. Wonderful location right on the Harbour front, ideal for watching the world go by. Nice crunchy baguette's at a decent price. I noticed that several locals where in here as well.

Absolutely awful the bar man threatened us when we queried the bill. Staff sullen and unfriendly. Food very average.

We have holidayed in Honfleur 4 times now, and L'Albatros is always our 1st port of call. Unlike the vast majority of places around the basin, its main focus is drinks. We felt that (3 years ago) it had gone downhill a little ~ the workers there seemed to have got younger and the dance music came with them. Last... More
