After a walk around the town and being uninspired by the usual generic French brasseries came across this gem in the evening. Looks like a quaint tearoom but serves up a very interesting, and delicious a la carte menu. Food is tasty and home cooked. Good choice of wines. Unlike previous reviews, our solitary waitress didn't speak English but we... More

Nice home cooking. Lacks some flair, but good comfort food. Pretty interior and good service. Atmosphere nice. Solo waitress but spoke English and very competent and attentive.

This was a superb local restaurant that you dream of finding for a lunch passing through rural France and that is increasingly hard to find. Superb cooking and faultless service.

Had lunch here today. Weather was very hot, but restaurant cool and comfortable. Excellent service from young waitress who spoke English to compensate for our poor French! Lovely meal, would return and recommend.

A cold Saturday in February-a quick tour around the town and note to self to book a return to explore in the warmth of Spring. However a great stop for lunch that is well worth a look. E70 for 3 beer, 3 Kir, Mineral water 2 starters/Main/Puds that left us very full and meant we had to go for a... More

The beautifully decorated most comfortable tea room (pure understatement as we know now) was without a single customer when we looked for a place to eat at lunchtime. Not a good sign we thought, but most restaurants were closed on this 26nd December and as we could see from the windows, the "Salon de thé" also offered some plats du... More

This place is so good you need to forget the rest. The food was superb and beautiful presented, the decor is sublime and the staff so nice. I cannot recommended it highly enough. Seriously, if you only go to one place go here!

If you are ladies that lunch, You Will LOVE IT! ... Firstly the good bits. Clean and very tidy, well presented tables, interior and décor (If that's your thing). Lunch - Items cooked to order so when they fill up, you should expect to have a wait, and that's quite reasonable. Service - Attentive without being overbearing. So why so... More

Sorry to bore the staff, but really one is supposed to be running a restaurant. After ordering, food came quickly enough. Nothing like warm sparkling water too. Lunch was so so. Hopefully one can do better in Laon.

Well located in the centre of town and a pleasant ambiance. The food was very good but the service lack-luster and disinterested, actually downright rude. Also the "Formule" menu was mis-represented. It stated 16 euros for an entree and main or a main and a dessert. When the bill arrived it was as per the a-la-carte menu prices. More of... More
