We went for our second evening meal there as it was very near our hotel. We did not regret it as it was very good traditional French fare. We had hot goat cheese salad and then chicken with cream of mushroom sauce. Then we had the biggest and best flottants we have ever had. We two got the books to... More

We chose this restaurant after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. A very friendly welcome from Monsieur who gave us books to read while we had our aperitif and later puzzles between courses. He also entertained other tables with puzzles and number tricks. We tried a Kir Breton as an aperitif and it was really... More

This is what I expect from a restaurant in France. A proper auberge style place to eat. Genuine people running it, basic but good food. The couple running it were lovely, he had loads of,puzzles he brought to your table to keep you entertained. The food is simple, I had confit of duck my husband had pave of beef. Both... More

"We enjoyed our first meal there so much we returned the following evening" is about the best recommendation I can give. The food was terrific, rich and full of flavour, and something I would love to replicate at home (if only). All delivered by a convivial host with great style. Loved it....

Three of us went there. All had simple main course. Friendly waiter and waitress. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Price reasonable. Central location. All exactly as we expected. Would go there again.

We had an excellent evening here. Restaurant is opposite the Hotel L'Europe and close to Ibis, just past the Hotel de Ville car park. Quite small but if any larger it would have a different atmosphere. The owner is very welcoming and gave everyone books on Poitiers and puzzles to keep you entertained. Lots of smiling faces. The owner clearly... More

This restuarant was just around the corner from the ibis where we were staying. The owner was very welcoming with lots of puzzles to keep you amused. The food was excellent but the portions in some cases were rather large. I had the pate starter which was the vest pate I have ever had. If you like mussels then thus... More

My husband and I visited this little restaurant after walking past many other restaurants which all looked very similar. This restaurant is small and traditional. The owner was a lovely man who when he found out we were visiting the city, brought out an old map and a couple of books about Poitiers for us to look at while we... More

Luckily we picked this restaurant from a number in the area. Very friendly waitress and also the owner. Got great help choosing our starter and main course and also choosing a nice wine. While waited for our meal local books of the area in French and English were given to us to look at. Everything from start to finish was... More

We returned to this lovely place in January 2015. This time bringing all of our 3 younglings along . The wonderful owners once again made us feel so very welcome . The food was delicious. My young son polished off an entire bucket of mussels ! In between magic tricks from Monsieur the owner and magical food, we were in... More
