This restaurant was the only (!) place in Provence that really demonstrated me the French national cuisine. We visited several famous restaurants (even with Michelin stars) and I was lost and disappointed. Thanks to fantastic Jean-Louis! Excellent and fast service. He really loves his guests and he was happy that we enjoyed the excellent meals. The choice was big enough... More

We came across this restaurant walking from the train station. We normally faff around deciding where to eat so to plump for the first menu we looked at was quite a risk but we were really pleased with our choice for lunch. Excellent food and reasonably priced with the menu du jour offering excellent value for money at I think... More

Went there alone on a business trip. The owner is extremely friendly and speaks decent English. Had the 28 euro three course menu. The starter dish soup was delicious, highly recommend. People around me had the mussels to start which also looked excellent. My main course was one from the daily menu (linguini with Spanish mussels, chorizo, and clams) and... More

Had a delicious lunch here. The place was quite packed( often a good sign). The staff was friendly and professional and seemed to know many of the guests.

The main waiter was not able to explain the menu in English (at least his English) and speaking French he was hardly understandable as he spoke too fast. Then he threw the menu on the table in an angry manner and said we should try to figure out by ourselves, he had no time to explain. When we had to... More

Dining with a family of four. Three ate from the 28Euros menu, one from the 38. Excellent range of options for each of the three courses. The rump steak was particularly tasty, as was the duck with fig and honey sauce. Total cost: 144 Euros - quite reasonable for the quality of the fare. Friendly and attentive service.

It's hard to find the perfect dining experience in Cannes if you're not willing to pay Croisette prices everyday, but our final meal before we left for home proved to be our favourite. Le Hit is an unpretentious, well located restaurant not far from the railway station offering a good variety of traditional dishes and an excellent specials board. The... More

Well prepared & presented French food. Excellent service, the waiter/owner explained everything well. I had Guinea fowl, & my husband had gnocchi with (yellow) mushrooms & truffles. Both very excellent.
