Looks attractive from outside, and ok inside enclosed terrace area. But then step inside and it is filthy everwhere. This should be closed down. Washrooms worst I've seen in a long time. I would not eat here. Dirty serving area, cracked tiles, grime everywhere. There is a reason it is mainly empty. Disinterested waiter.

Bad food and bad service. Coffee is ok. The only thing that is good is live piano music, that saves the evening

This restaurant is in a prime location on the Promenade des Anglais. It looked a bit gaudy, and very touristy. But they were very accommodating and served me a nice breakfast at midday, after I had missed breakfast at the hotel. The croissant was melt in the mouth, the orange juice was good as was the omelette, and there was... More

The breakfast was ok: omelette, coffee and fruit, but we got cheated, it was twice the prize on the menu. The Waiter informed us that they like our money so maybe we shouldn't be surprised. Or maybe, since he was joking all the time, we just got it wrong.

I was staying in Nice overnight and decided on a late lunch here because I liked the location near the water, which was great. My pizza was really good and the coffee was nice also, but expensive as you'd expect on the Côte d'Azur. The service also lacking but staff were polite and welcoming at the place, so I guess... I had a very enjoyable brunch here - actually off their breakfast menu. For 12 euros - coffee; orange juice, omelette and croissant plus bread roll and jam. Took a seat in the sun on the edge of the restaurant - many seats are in shaded areas also. Great service - very polite.

We visited la canne a sucre on our finial night in nice. The visit was a disaster from the min we sat down. The toilets where disgusting and the restaurant was particularly clean either. The waiter ignored us, when he did finally take a drinks order he was rude and didn't seem like he could be bothered! We ordered steak... More

This is a delightful cafe/restaurant. We only stopped for a drink and were made most welcome by the owner. There was mixture of people drinking, dining or just having an Ice cream. There was a pianist singing wonderful stirring memorable songs. The owner was very funny. You don't get characters like him anymore.

We were hungry for pizza. Seated inside by the hostess. Waiter TOTALLY IGNORED US.No greeting, no water, not even menus. A French couple walked in 20 minutes after us, greeted, menus, and water appeared within nanoseconds. The waiter seemed to not like Americans. I would never recommend this place to any foreigners.
