We stumbled upon this place in Cours Julien and decided to go in because it looked fun from the outside and the menu was varied enough that my vegetarian wife would have options. It was very early (by French standards, around 730pm) so service was quick as we were basically the only people there. The waiter was nice and asked... More

I've been to Melo cafe' for lunch as I was attracted by the location. The restaurant is in a really cool/hipster area and the atmosphere is really nice. The waitress doesn't speak a work of English but besides that she was okay. I ordered a salad that for 9€ was nothing special and it arrived with a black hair on... More

We found this restaurant on Trip advisor and decided to give it a go. We had a great experience there. the staff were friendly and helpful, we asked for seating in the shade and they quickly sorted it by moving table and chairs with no fuss! The food was delicious (I think my husbands only complaint was the fact that... More

Loved Le Cafe Melo, and would recommend trying it out if you're near Cours Julien. We sat outside and it was a great spot to people-watch and relax on an eclectic, laid-back street in Marseille. The food was the best meal we've had in France and a welcome break from the pasta dishes in Italy. The steak was tender and... More

I really thought this place was going to be good, but it just wasn't, sadly. The staff were very nice and helpful, but the food I got served up, especially the main course was appalling, in fact it was disgusting. We chose the all included menu at €28 which included a (very) small aperatif and a half bottle of (very... More

My wife and I discovered this area on our last night in Marseille. A very cool, hipster scene and perfect for an aging hipster wannabe such as myself. We sat out under the stars and soaked up the creative ambiance as well as music from a nearby cafe. The service was slow, but that's what France is all about and... More

17euros or so for a very filling three course meal which included, beef carpaccio/goats cheese pastry puffs.. for starters, sirloin steak cooked to perfection with all the trimmings and panacotta, fruit salad, creme brulee for dessert. Very delicious and value for money. We even got free pina coladas because it was out 2nd visit, and also last leg of the trip... More

Description
In a vintage decoration made with items brought from the all world, le Melo is the only french pub and french diner in Marseille.

Perfectly located in the heart of the artistic borrough, le Cours Julien, le Melo warmly welcome customers for lunch and diner, in the terrasse or inside the restaurant and offers a large range of starters and main courses, inspired by the french, american and brittish culinary cultures. You will find in the menu the nicoise salad, typic of the south of france, just like the english fish'n'chips or the texan ribs.

At night, of top of its quality cuisine, le Melo loves making various animations such as karaoke, musical blind test, beer-pong and have a DJ coming in the restaurant, on week-end nights but also during the week-days if it is asked by the clientele.

Since 2005, it is known by the people of Marseille as one of the best place to celebrate a happy event like birthdays, bachelor(ettes) parties, and a great place to share a moment with family and friends.

Welcome at Le Melo, bring your smile and we'll manage anything else ;)
