This restaurant was very crowded, and he had a good service and a tasteful meal. We choose a Raclete and it was marvelous. After we took a classic (and perfect) Crème Brulée. Delicious.

(Strange that Italians come here for pasta!) This place does decent Savoie traditional food and has a cosy alpine atmosphere. HOWEVER watch out for drinks prices they are double the average in Chamonix

I read somewhere Chamonix has good Italian foods due to its proximity to Italy. We're wrong. I ordered cheese fondue as this is the only restaurant which can allow one-person cheese fondue. My husband ordered Lasagna. His lasagna seems to be made out of cheap canned tomato source. It was bad, Don't order Italian dishes.

I'm finding it hard to express myself on this restaurant. The only word that comes to my mouth is TERRIBLE! Burger was frozen and not home made, risotto was warmed up in a microwave.... Terrible restaurant.

I was in Chamonix last weekend with my wife and my 2 girls at lunch time.. While searching for a place to eat, we found this place next to the post office with a lot of people and many happy faces.. So we decided to go in and try and we were not disappointed. I ate a chicken & mushroom... More

Nice looking place but terrible food. Service was quick but I thinka it is because the pizza was the frozen ones they just reheated. Soup wasnt good either, this was a tourist trap

well its become a bit of a tradition when we go to Chamonix. We've been going there on and off since the 90's and we're never disappointed by La Potiniere. I cant promise it will be to everyone's taste but if you enjoy good food without going a la carte, nice regional Savoyarde dishes then you should enjoy this. Friendly... More

If you are in a hurry, this is not your place. I had two meals breakfast and dinner, and it was crowded each time. I was in no hurry, and I figured if it was crowded it must be good. I was on vacation so I didn't care. For breakfast, many bread products and pastries were available. I had a... More

Very located and tourist spot. Piced ok. Foods average but service is good. You are paying for the location. A wide menu and things flow smoothly.

One of the restaurants in the main town square area near the Post Office. Large outside eating area good on fine days and the interior is OK too. Usual tourist type menus and not particularly good value - but having said that, what do you expect in central Chamonix? Quick friendly service and good food but better value can be... More
