So collectively we spent quite a lot of time here. Great view of the mountains. Get a sofa outside in one of the sun traps. Excellent. Pizza was ok. Pasta dishes great though. Coffee ok.

Lognan restaurant/self-service is brilliantly functional and above all the nicest possible staff. The Italian antipasti is of high quality and delicious BUT get yourself a disgusting - as in undrinkable - capuccino in a cardboard cup at the bar and it will cost you €5.60 !!! Ps there appears to be no way to complain direct to the restaurant on... More

Average self service canteen. Clean, spacious, toilets properly serviced. Food was carb-based fuel for skiing, adequate and at the usual 'captive audience' mountain prices. Nice location with sun in the afternoon. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Not much alternative there. But EUR3.70 for a coffee in a paper cup is excessive. Even in Chamonix. As is EUR12.50 for the quarter of a pizza.

We were 2 of 4 who got sick of their pizza. The pizza slice was in the preheating desk, probably laying there too long and with too low heating. This seems to be a bacteria trap. Sent me to bed for a whole day. Some friends told me they had the same experience for a year ago.

There are wonderful views of the valley and the ski areas from the terraces. But the food is very dull. The cash desks are much too slow and a long queue is usual. Eat here only if you forgot to bring your sandwiches.

Service was OK and position is attractive but then so is virtually anywhere in this lovely town. Average in a town where there are some which are just that bit better. Watty

Should you want to have lunch when you ski at Argentière (Lognan), you can stop at the Rider Café. You have 2 choices : option 1 the snack bar or option 2 the pasta and pizza restaurant. I really recommend you to choose the bar where you can eat some sandwiches or French fries for a normal price. Indeed, the... More

I have been coming to chamonix for.....15 years, and the Companie Mont Blanc (who have a monopoly over all the food establishments on the mountains) continues to offer third rate food for its clients. Overpriced and tasteless food and hot drinks served in characterless halls like Le Spot and Rider Cafe, is a recipe for profits, but at the expense... More

Had a smallish bowl of vegetable soup, tepid, not very good, no bread ; 8.40€ ! Absolute rip off. I asked around and was told that all the mountain restaurants run by the lift company (Seracs) were not good and very expensive. There are alternatives around. Chamonix has become very expensive for what it has to offer skiers.
