We had booked a table for 10 and I had a copy of the email confirmation but when we arrived we were greeted with bemusement. Tables were pushed together to accommodate us. The food, when it eventually arrived, was good but on the whole it is not an experience I would wish repeat.

Our first course of foie gras ( terrine) and quenelle arrived after 50 minutes. The two filets steak, advertised as very tender were not tender, served on luke warm plates, no bread, mustard nor steak knives were offered. We booked thru' TA and were offered a 40% reduction under certain conditions. This was not mentioned. To be avoided.

Great little restaurant. Food was good and nicely presented. I had the quenelles which I had never had before and it was very good.

It's often difficult to find a decent meal near a major railway station, but that's not that case for Lyon's Gare Perrache, which was the city's original station before the boring Gare de la Part Dieu was built in the 1980s to accommodate the TGV. Brasserie Elite is literally just a few steps from the station. The staff are especially... More

The location gives the impression that this may not be worth a visit, but it definitely is. On Place Carnot near the Perrache station and ESDES Business School. Service and food were terrific.

A very nice quiet brasserie not far from the Lyon Perrache railway station. The waiters were lovely and with our few words of french and their few words of english they helped us choose great meals.I had lamb with olive tapenade and my husband had salmon which just melted in the mouth. Desserts were citron tart and nougat glace with... More

We went to lyon last wekend with close friends , eager to discover traditionnal Cuisine from Lyon. Our main advice : Ask local people and hotel receptionists for restaurants , avoid touristic areas for restaurants as our only try in the old quarter of lyon was a total flop, not even worth mentionning . The charming lady running our hotel... More

Description
Located in the Place Carnot in Lyon, the Brasserie Elite is a chic and classic French restaurant ideal for sampling authentic Lyonnais-style cooking. With burgundy and wood-panelled walls, blackboard menus and vintage lamps, the dining room has an old-school brasserie vibe and is the perfect spot for business lunches and a stylish evening meals with friends. The seasonal menu at Brasserie Elite reads like a guide to the region's most classic cuisine, and we love the Lyons Salad with croutons and a poached egg; the Royan-style ravioli with crayfish tails; and the fillet of salmon served with balsamic cream and fresh asparagus. Brasserie Elite also boasts a summer terrace and an excellent French wine list.
