I had a lunch at Le Rocambole, quality was quite poor compared to the price. The Café is well situated though, in the heart of the Vieux-Lyon. Globally, the atmosphere is not very attractive nor comfortable. Way better places nearby with more authentic "made in Lyon" spirit.

Visited for a spot of brunch after walking through the old town trying to scout a place with reasonable prices. €3.90 for a crepe seemed okay at the time - stalls outside were selling for €7+. However the food itself wasn't great, nor was the coffee. It is quite tightly packed inside although we were sat right next to a... More

We enjoyed two lunches at this very busy little restaurant. We had mussels which were plump and juicy. The food here is very good, not high end but a rather busy and exciting little place. The waitress, Annie was very friendly and helpful. The place is situated in the Old Town just over the river and on a corner site.... More

A very nice little coffee shop and restaurant. Good place to rest after walking the old ville area. It is in convenient location for the tour busses that stop out front and if you are waiting to reboard your tour bus this is good place to kill some time. We found the service very good from the young woman that... More

We stumbled upon this great little café when in Lyon for two days of rugby and it was a great find. Breakfast was so good on the Saturday morning we returned on the Sunday. There were lovely croissants bread and jam, my three friends all commented on how good the coffee was and my drinking chocolate was as good as... More

Average service, moules and frites were okay but the moules a bit chewy. Okay outdoor dining but nothing outstanding.

Off the bat, this place pays more attention to their guests who sit outside than inside. We were there for two hours and only saw our server twice. Outside seating was full, so they sat us inside, in the corner, away from the view of everyone and everything. We were the only one's that were seated inside. But minus that,... More

For a bite of lunch alfresco beside the Saone and near the old city, however not somewhere that would likely return to.

We stopped here for breakfast and after several great experiences eating in France were very disappointed. Not with the food, because we never got any, as the service was so bad. Our waiter was disinterested from the start and when we asked for menus he simply served other tables. Needless to say those tables received their meals before we even... More
