We had a great evening in this restaurant. The food was outstanding. We turned up one evening without booking and the restaurant was full but the staff managed to make a table up for us. The service was excellent even though they were very busy.

The food was excellent and the service friendly and explained the dishes well. We had the tapas selection as a starter, and it was delicious and creative. The quail breast with lentils was memorable. The dining room is a bit funky, my vision of a German grandma's living room, but it worked with the atmosphere.

Fresh, local, sustainable creative presentations! Wonderful wine list. Cozy seating to the left upon entering, a Blue Room for high end dining and entertaining. Excellent service. Most accommodating owner!

Excellent cooking and dish presentation and a great variety in options (fish, meat game etc) Really the best restaurant in the area, including Baden Baden. Disadvantages: A bit pricey and service is running a little slow on Saturday evenings but still, the best choice by far!

We were staying in a nearby hotel whose restaurant was shut on the night of our stay, so tried Traube based on TA reviews. I emailed the restaurant directly to make a booking which was very simple and pleasant. We had some confusion on arrival as when I stated that I had a booking, the receptionist assumed that I meant... More

Incredible asparagus early in the season and an extremely friendly host/owner. A pleasant stop not too far from Baden up in the wine village. ENjoyed the Riesling vintage alongside the asparagus with terrific homemade Holandaise and baerlauch side dish...

Very traditional German atmosphere and food. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. English menu was available. We had the "Country Menu" Parsley root soup (very Delicious...i was skeptical but it left me wanting more), the Beef Roll and an almond cherry dessert. It was one of the best meals my wife and I have had since we moved to... More
