Their cakes are very delicious. They are most famous for their signature Blackforest cake stands up to its awesome reputation. Great place to stop and have coffee and cake...you will get a nice surprise taste also.

Cute café with a number of delicious looking treats. Stopped here for the famous black forest cake of course. I did end up having a ham sandwich too. The service was good and staff was friendly. The sandwich was tasty and fresh but just a ham sandwich. The black forest cake was... not for me. I forced myself to eat... More

Must try is the best Black Forest cake, creamy and a good punch of cherry liquor- not overly fatty but really tasty Another one we tried was blueberry tart, also very tasty! Cappuccino came with a little heart, so cute! If u r already here for the waterfall and so on, don't forget to stop by for cakes😍

Drove all the way across France to eat this famous cake after the Bikers went there but the village is run down, the staff rude and the famous cake - I've had better in Lidl's!!!!!!!

While I didn't like the cake at all, the soft pretzels, apple strudel and hot tea were all perfect. I didn't speak much German, but the kind lady at the front was able to help me through what I wanted and we made it work together.

Excellent Black Forest cake! The cake was baked with just the right amount of sugar and alcohol. We also had some delicious soup that hit the spot on a very cold and rainy day.

As others have said, here is the original Black Forest cake. That alone makes it worth the stop. Was it the best Black Forest cake I have had, you bet!! My family also had it, and they agree.

You cannot take a trip to the Black Forest and not eat a piece of cake from the original bakery. This is a nice little place with other pastries but go for the cake.

We tried two cake shops during our four days stay in Triberg, and we think the cakes by Cafe Schaefer is much delicious with stronger cherry wine taste. Cream is fresh. If you visit Triberg, then I highly recommend you to try. Sehr Lecker! ;)

This is the home of the original black forest cake. The café proudly displays a copy of it on their wall. It is a short walk down from the waterfall along the main road in town. They do offer many different and delicious cakes and desserts, but the black forest cake is to die for. It does contain alcohol in... More
