We went to Toshi for my birthday dinner yesterday and sadly, we were quite disappointed - it used to be one of the best, if not the best sushi restaurant in Munich. The last time I visited was in spring of 2015 but even back then it didn't amaze me, which honestly is what you'd expect when spending 100+ Euro... More

Food poisoned two hours after eating Chef's sushi selection. Unfortunate... I don't recommend the place.

Having had recently lunch at Toshi I was amazed by their selection of Japanese food. I really liked the sashimi selection and the bento box!

We went there while a lot of other restaurants were closed for the 2016 Easter break and we were positively surprised by the high quality in service, the atmosphere (though a Russian family was playing loud videos on their phones next to us...), the food (miso soup, veggie tempura, sushis recommended by the chef).

Before you read on I must admit that I am a bit of a junkie when it comes to Asian fusion. I would eat it every night if I could. The average guy would probably think this place was great so keep that in mind. We had sashimi, sushi, wagyu beef, carpaccio, and black cod. All of them were good,... More

I have been here on my last few visits to Munich and have always enjoyed decent Japanese food; often there have been a number of Japanese diners, which I always see as a recommendation. This time there was an interesting starter on the house, before my seaweed salad. Tempura to follow, before a sushi course. A small note on the... More

A nice dining experience, with open windows for some fresh September air. Fresh ingredients, carefully prepared, from Tempura to Fried Rice. A bit expensive, people around you are well dressed and behaved. You may argue that Wasabi is not as spicy, just add a bit more. Enjoyable, also on a business dinner.

Pretty expensive but worth it. Excellent sashimi and rolls, tasty green tea ice cream. Good service. Nice choice if you want to have dinner in not crowded and comfortable place.

Visited on the recommendation of the concierge at the Sofitel in Munich, we managed to get a last minute table on a Friday night which was lucky as a few of the other places we tried we already full, lucky for us! We had no idea what was in store so arrived with no expectations. The restaurant is located in... More

Description
Toshi invites you on a culinary journey to Japan. Here, you sit on a red bench or in comfortable cane chairs and take in the decor, which toys with style elements from this far-eastern country, inspiring a warm atmosphere. Of course there is Sushi in all imaginable varieties available, particularly Sashimi and Maki, which can be ordered either individually or as sets. Before that, you can choose from a large variety of starters which include lots of fish dishes. Those of you who are really hungry could also order the 5-course menu. And because the Sushi is so delicious here, the Toshi has won itself a reputation as one of the best Japanese restaurants in Munich.
