My husband and I were in Munich for the first time and looking around for somewhere different to eat. We came past the restaurant and immediately were drawn to it for the very attractive decor. The service was good and friendly and I had the best lamb I have had, with baked brown rice and spinach. My husband had the... More

Had lamb with brown rice. It didn't seem to be actual brown rice but seasoned white rice. But it was all Tasty.

We chose Lemar because we had never experienced Afghan food. The menu is not extensive but the food was truly very good . lamb dopiasa and a vegetarian aubergine dish were great complements. Service was friendly and fast and overall excellent value

Have been twice on 2 separate trips to Munich, and would return. They do a nice version of my favorite Afghan dish, mantu. Other favorites are available, as well as more familiar foods like kebabs with rice, etc. Good atmosphere as well.

Although last minute and on invitation during BAUMA show the restaurant did do its best to accommodate 10 people in a spot for 6... close together you experience the Afghan food out of the Bavarian comfort zone and away from the noisy background... We've got plenty of lamb and spicy vegetables on the table that were well seasoned, with some... More

Wonderful baked pumpkin and mixed afghan vegetables for starter. Nicely grilled tender chicken skewer with fried rice for main. Friendly afghan staff though table settings a bit cramped for our party of five. Wine selection not great, but this is beer country.

The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, hearty and perfectly prepared. This is a warm, relatively intimate restaurant, tables close together, and we were warmly greeted by the proprietor. I think it was our best meal in Munich

We did not make a reservation but they managed to set a table for us 3. Food was very tasty and the waiter was nice. He took the time to explain about Afghan food. I recommend!
