I have reviewed this restaurant before. More - a long time tradition in the Gay neighborhood has been sold to new owners. A heterosexual couple from Austria. This restaurant has been an institution in this neighborhood for over a decade. They have a lot to live up to and so far, not very successful. I do hope they listen to... More

We ate here on its first day of opening after changing owners. Apart from a small glitch with the credit card machine, everything was running smoothly. More importantly, the food was excellent: mainly modern German dishes, beautifully presented. The service was perhaps a little slow but all was forgiven because the staff were unfailingly charming. The atmosphere is great: intimate... More

First impression: the wine list with fewer choices,no French wines anymore, (mostly Austrian)Even at the low end price hike up to 40 % per glass (min € 8.50, 0,2l) Extensive interesting hipster gin listings though Coffee price 20 % "more", there seems to be no creative additional weekly menu next to their famous classics anymore. .Lets see if they can... I have eating at this restaurant for some years now as have many friends. This visit I was with a friend that wanted schnitzel so we went here as in the past they have been good. This time we heard the whoosh of a deep fat fryer and shortly after the food arrived. Sadly deep fried veal schnitzel is rather... More

I love this place. I make sure to go here a couple times every time I'm in Berlin. The menu is full of delicious German dishes - and they are prepared with care and expertise. The drinks and wine are great, too. The staff is friendly and the ambience is upscale and comfortable.

I found this restaurant through the Trip Adviser app, I wasn't disappointed. The menu had a great selection with very fresh ingredients and even though I was eating alone I didn't feel awkward and the staff were very attentive and had a good understanding of English.

We came here last year with friend and happy to say that the restaurant is still good . Last time we went it was summer so the menu at Xmas time was very different. We had the duck and the venison, both really good and extremely generous portions. Book in advance.

MORE is a neighborhood institution. But recently they have decided only to serve dinner - opening hours 5 - 12. This is truly disappointing as it was a great place for breakfast and lunch. And a meeting place for so many visitors. I'll miss the breakfasts and lunches.I'll think twice about patronizing it from now on.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
