Finding this little Italian gem hidden in Charlottenburg was a stroke of luck. After hours of exploration in Berlin's neighborhoods we started to get really hungry! After spotting this restaurant with a big rustic interior and matching outdoor quiet space, we sat down and ordered two giant delicious pizzas! They were very affordable and after a couple of slices we... More

The pasta at opera italiana is super tasty. However, the restaurant was way too crowded and it was very loud so we couldn't have a normal conversation. Furthermore, the waiter was stressed and did not have time to wait our table properly. The menu is rather small, so we just could choose between two or three kinds of pasta, two... More

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I had a business lunch with a group of 14 people and it was not impressive at all. The waiter insisted that we tried their special of the day. It ended up in a piece of bread for each person, a few focaccia, 4 appetizers to share (tiny salad with a few... More

I ate with a colleague/friend. Our meals were excellent (two pasta dishes) and the waiter was both attentive and interesting. I would go back without a thought - it was a really good experience.

We thought the whole experience was lovely , couldn't fault the service or food . One of the best Italian meals I`ve had in awhile . The tagliatelle with truffle was excellent . Friendly service in a really nice atmosphere and imaginative décor .

Pizza and pasta were so good. Authentic Italien feel but the waiters seemed a bit unenthusiastic and unfriendly at times but the food arrived quickly and they were attentive if somewhat uninterested.

We've ordered pizza which was very good, we couldn't leave it unfinished even if it was too much for us. Waiters look grumpy and try to make you hurry if you can't choose what you would like to have. When we've asked for the bill, they gave it to us and left while grumbling how in the world they could... More

Authentic thin cut pizzas, great back drop of family picture and Tuscan decor. Everything that you would want in a little Italian gem

This restaurant became part of a concert-dinner to Charlottenberg Palace because of renovations to the west wing of the palace. What a fortuitous change -- food and service were both excellent. The staff had to serve about 40 people as part of the concert-dinner as well as the regular diners -- perfection. And the food was delicious. We were lucky... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
